The charges just keep coming for newly disgraced 19 Kids & Counting star Joseph Duggar— and now his wife Kendra is also being charged!
Northwest Arkansas News broke the news on Friday that Joe— who is already being held in an Arkansas jail on child molestation charges stemming from an alleged incident in Florida— just received new charges in Arkansas that are unrelated to the ones he’s facing in Florida.
The site reports that Joe is now being charged with four counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a minor, as well as four counts of second-degree false imprisonment.
Even more shocking is that his wife, Kendra, was also charged Friday with the exact same crimes, and had a warrant issued for her arrest.
She was booked into Washington County jail just after 5 p.m. on Friday after turning herself in.
Kendra posted bond late Friday and has been released from the jail at 6:19 p.m., but not before snapping her very first mugshot.
As Counting On fans know, Kendra and Joe share four young children. (It is not clear, though, if their kids were involved in the incident in question.)
Tontitown Police arrived at the Duggar Family home on Friday to serve a warrant for Kendra’s arrest, but she was not there. (Kendra and Joe do not live at the house, but do reside in Tontitown, near Joe’s parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar.)
“[Tontitown Police Department] said this separate investigation was launched on the heels of the alleged incident in Florida,” NWA News reported. “TTPD said this remains an active and ongoing investigation; however, due to minor victims being involved, no further details will be released at this time.”
Northwest Arkansas journalist Doug Warner reported on his Facebook page that the TTPD informed him that “they discovered these alleged incidents, leading to the child endangerment and false imprisonment charges, while assisting Florida investigators on the initial case. These alleged incidents happened in Washington County.”
Several members of the Duggar Family have spoken out about Joe’s arrest earlier this week. In each statement, the family member has expressed sympathy and love to Kendra and her kids. As of press time, Jim Bob and Michelle have yet to release a statement regarding Joe’s arrest and the charges against Kendra.
Kendra– who is now 27— married Joe in September 2017. Their courtship, engagement, wedding and several of their children’s births were featured on the family’s reality show Counting On.
It appears that Kendra has a court date set for Monday, as well as one for April 29.

Speculation, but been around CPS etc when younger. CPS came to take the 4 children, and they wouldnt let the kids go hence 4 false imprisonment charges.
This is just speculation and opinion though to be clear, but would track with the circumstances and charges. I don’t know anything besides what The Ashley RR has published.

Sadly, I’m not shocked. Anyone who stands by a pedophile does so for a reason, and it’s never good.
She stands by her pedophile rapist husband, there is clearly something wrong with her too. She did nothing to protect the children she chose to bring into this world. Is it really surprising she’d put others (or them) in harm’s way?
This is a prime example of how fucked up cults and fundamentalists can be, along with how widespread their damage. They honestly believe they do no wrong, especially if they later say sorry.
Get those damn kids away from ALL of them, even her family.
He was just arrested the other day, so who knows if she will leave him (I’m thinking she probably won’t). Sounds like they were babysitting when this occurred, so that could be why she was hit with a child endangerment charge?
She’s known about this longer than we have. Also her charges aren’t related to his. They are from separate incidents.

The whole family is sick as h3ll and she knew it marrying into and reproducing with him so she’s guilty of participating. I wonder if she’s charged for the way they’ve parented/punished their kids, which as sick and twisted as it may be she was taught it was acceptable OR for merely exposing their kids to him after the 2020 incident. Which makes me wonder if she knew. Either way this wasn’t on my bingo card for 2026 and I’m dying for them to release more info. Hope those kids get sent to her family, they give me the ick but not as bad as Jim Boob and Michelle
She didn’t know what he was when they married though – this is Joe, not Josh. We don’t know that she knew of the 2020 incident either.
