Jenelle Evans has reconciled with her ex-husband David Eason, but there are a few good reasons she’s doing her best to keep that fact hidden.
On Wednesday, someone sold TMZ yet another story about Jenelle, in which a “witness” (who is absolutely, positively not Jenelle herself) claimed to have seen Jenelle and her reinstated soulmate David dining together in Las Vegas with their daughter Ensley and Jenelle’s son Kaiser. That “witness” (who, again, is definitely not Jenelle herself) claimed that the soulmates are not back together and that the vibe between Jenelle and David “was anything but romantic” and that they were “kinda cold” and acting distant toward each other.
According to The Ashley’s source, this is all BS.
“They have to make it seem like they don’t like each other and are just ‘coparenting’ for several reasons,” the source stated. “First, Jenelle can’t handle the backlash she’s getting for going back to David after accusing him of being abusive and having materials on his phone that were sexually exploiting a minor.”
However, the source says there are two even bigger reasons for someone to plant the story insisting David and Jenelle are not back together.
“First, her custody court hearing is coming up,” the source said, referring to the hearing next month in which she will go head-to-head against her mom Barbara, who is trying to get custody back of Jenelle’s eldest son, Jace.)
“The fact that Jenelle is back with David will absolutely be used against her in the court battle, and it will look very bad for her if she admits to reconciling with the man who has charges against him for [allegedly] assaulting Jace,” the source said. “A few days ago, people online figured out that Jenelle and David were at the same restaurant together based on their separate posts, so they had to do damage control to explain that away.
“That is also why Jenelle hasn’t been posting those sly hints online about her being back with David that she had been posting before Barbara filed for custody of Jace,” the source added.
However, there is an even bigger reason for Jenelle to hide the fact that David is back in the mix.
A court clerk for Brunswick County, North Carolina, confirmed to The Ashley on Thursday that the domestic violence protective order (DVPO) that Jenelle took out on David in May 2024 and had renewed in December 2024 is, indeed, still active.
The court clerk confirmed that the DVPO would have to be dismissed by a judge and that no judge has dismissed it as of press time.
The protective order is valid and in effect until November 13, 2026, meaning David is not supposed to be near Jenelle, or her home. (David is not legally barred from seeing Ensley, however.)
“There is nothing new in the file,” the court clerk confirmed to The Ashley, meaning a judge has not yet dismissed the protective order.

So why can’t somebody in Vegas call police and say David is violating the RO order? Why can’t he be put in handcuffs and arrested in Vegas? This has been going on since early February now with these 2 losers.. Jenelle is the biggest loser, and so is David. Both need to be held accountable, BOTH!!

Does anyone know how Jenelle is making money now? She’s been off TV for several years and I can’t imagine she was smart enough to invest any of her her money she made before so I highly doubt she’s making money that way. Is there a way those pictures she recently posted with David can be used as a means to discredit her in court? Gosh I hope so. That needs to be brought up. That, along with the fact that David is now around Kaiser, who Jenelle herself confirmed is terrified of David, surely something can be done and it can be used against her as evidence? The system has failed all these kids on every front. Our justice system is ass.
