Taylor Frankie Paul Slams ‘Mormon Wives’ Co-Star Mikayla Matthews in Scathing Mother’s Day Post: “Kicking Me While I’m Already Down”

“Umm, happy Mother’s Day to you, too…?”

Taylor Frankie Paul celebrated Mother’s Day on Sunday by posting a scathing social media rant aimed at her Secret Lives of Mormon Wives co-star Mikayla Matthews, a day after Mikayla sounded off on the current status of her and Taylor’s friendship.

Along with a carousel of photos featuring her and her three children, Taylor penned and posted a pointed caption on Sunday, which she kicked off by telling followers that, because it was Mother’s Day, she’ll “say whatever [she] want[s].” Taylor went on to do just that, while referencing an Instagram Story that Mikayla had posted the previous day.

“Since when do you need an excuse and/or holiday to ‘say whatever you want,’ girl?”

“I STILL have ‘friends’ kicking me while I’m already down and calling it ‘setting a boundary’ and then BLAMES ME for being upset and responding,” Taylor wrote. “That’s called shaming and attack while I had a moment to breathe and she knew that.”

While Taylor didn’t mention Mikayla by name in her post, she was clearly responding to the fact that Mikayla told fans on Saturday that she was trying to “stay as removed” as possible from Taylor amid her recent legal drama with ex-boyfriend and (second) baby daddy Dakota Mortensen, while focusing on setting a “healthy” boundary.

According to Us Weekly, Mikayla also referenced Taylor’s alleged “behaviors and patterns” in her Instagram Story, insisting that it was not her job to “enable poor or dangerous behavior from either party, especially when children are involved.”

Mikayla also noted that she didn’t want to partake in Taylor and Dakota’s “pick a side” game, as the only side to be on in this situation is Taylor and Dakota’s son, Ever.

In her Mother’s Day post, Taylor fired back at Mikayla’s comments, while also criticizing Mikayla for piling on her in such a public way.

“What a snake friend just did to me in the public eye after everything she just witnessed…the lack of empathy and silence was loud enough,” Taylor wrote, before calling out her former friend for claiming that she didn’t want to pick sides amid the Taylor and Dakota feud.

“Did you see the hearing? Did you see the bruises?” Taylor asked. “Yet she’s bringing up ‘picking sides’? Yes usually you do for friends you know go through that.”

After continuing to throw accusations at Mikayla, Taylor referred to her co-star as “an enemy,” arguing that Mikayla’s personal trauma doesn’t give her a “pass” to kick someone when they’re down.

“Save the ‘concern for children act,’” Taylor added. “They all know I’m good to my children … .”

Taylor admitted in her caption that she was “spiraling” over the situation, however, she claimed that she would not tolerate people calling her out without issuing a response.

Taylor reportedly issued a response to Mikayla on Saturday as well, when she took to the comment section of a fan’s recap of Mikayla’s Instagram Story to accuse her co-star of being “the epitome of someone that was waiting for my downfall,” while also blaming Mikayla of watching and contributing to said-downfall.

“ … she can find her way to the door if she doesn’t want to film with me. Next,” Taylor added.

While she’s clearly on the outs with Mikayla at the moment, Taylor did receive some support in the comment section of her post from co-star Jessi Draper, who wrote, “you know how much I love you.”

“Not many have seen the behind the scenes but I have and I understand it first hand,” Jessi continued. “I’m so sorry and you’ll be back stronger and happier than ever.”

Following her fired up Mother’s Day post, Taylor posted a photo of herself to her Instagram Story (which appeared to be taken after she had been crying), while doubling down on some of the remarks she had made earlier.

“I will not be sitting down, staying silent or logging off…I did that for years on this,” she wrote. “Trust me I can take a beating whether it’s physical, emotional, or public scrutiny. Anyone else want to speak up? Please do…”

  1. She honestly needs some court1ordered therapy. Her children deserve a better mother. One that doesn’t throw chairs at them.

  2. I can’t with her. She is not a victim. She brought all of this shit on by her own actions. No one forced her to pick up multiple chairs and throw them knowing her daughter was watching her act psychotic and knew she was in harm’s way. Then when her daughter is scared and hurt she does NOTHING while her daughter is crying. She starts screaming louder and ignores her daughter. She is not mother of the year. She is abusive to everyone around her and everyone coddles her like a baby. She had access to her child for 12 hours which is the longest she has been able to see him. What does she do? Instead of cherishing that time with him she goes on a rant and posts it to social media. Taylor’s priorities are drama, victimhood and any kind of attention she can get. Her “fans” and her friends that don’t think for themselves validate every toxic move she makes. Good for Mikayla for not feeding into her delusional and self entitled bullshit.

    1. To add to her “I can take a beating…does anyone else want to step up”. She isn’t a bad ass. No one is scared of her physically. They are scared of losing their gravy train on SLOMW. And even though I think Dakota is a manipulator too doesn’t mean I believe she was abused by him because I don’t. She hit someone that wouldn’t hit her back. That doesn’t make you a fighter, that makes you the aggressor and abuser.
