Lindsie Chrisley has taken legal action to suppress all of the evidence obtained during her May DUI arrest, with the former Chrisley Knows Best star arguing that the evidence was seized “illegally due to lack of probable cause.” Lindsie filed this motion amid recent backlash from fans of her podcast, who are accusing her of not taking accountability for her actions.
As The Ashley previously reported, Lindsie was arrested May 24 in Georgia and charged with DUI, as well as Attempting to Elude, Reckless Driving, Improper Passing, and Speeding. While Lindsie claimed her DUI arrest happened because she had swerved in order to avoid hitting a car that hit an animal, the officer who apprehended her that night claimed that Lindsie’s alleged slurring, speeding and driving into the incoming traffic lane were the actual reasons that Lindsie was cuffed and hauled off to jail.

Shortly after Lindsie’s trip to the slammer, she told TMZ that she planned to “fight” her charges, which she now appears to be doing.
According to Us Weekly, Lindsie’s lawyer filed a motion on Monday to suppress all of the evidence that was seized at the time of Lindsie’s DUI arrest, as they anticipate that prosecutors “will attempt to introduce” the evidence in court, despite their argument that the evidence was seized illegally.
“All property or evidence seized from [Lindsie] was done so illegally due to a lack of probable cause to seize the items,” court documents obtained by the outlet state.

Lindsie’s lawyer goes on to list in the motion several legal grounds to suppress the evidence, including “no probable cause for a warrantless search,” as well as “no probable cause for issuance of a search warrant.” Her lawyer is also arguing that the search warrant not only “exceeded the scope authorized,” but was “illegally executed” and that “excessive force” was used while executing the search warrant.
The motion to suppress also alleges that the search warrant was “executed at an unreasonable time” and that the police officers who executed the search “lacked valid consent to search the person or premises searched.”
While Lindsie is hoping to keep certain details about her DUI under wraps, listeners of her and co-host Kail Lowry’s Coffee Convos podcast seem to be growing frustrated with the duo’s decision to not openly address Lindsie’s latest legal issues (yes, as in more than one) on their podcast.

“ … the fact that Lindsie has taken NO public accountability for her actions is such a let down,” a listener recently wrote in a ‘Coffee Convos’ review on Apple Podcasts. “We don’t need a thought [out] written down monologue months from now on a special episode. It speaks to her character that she’s not just putting out a statement taking accountability. I hope that Kail is a good friend by holding her accountable as well. I can’t continue to listen to this podcast in support of Lindsie if she comes back and can’t own her mistakes.”
“I’ve been a listener since day 1,” another listener wrote. “This show is not what it used to be. No accountability taken, at all. The DUI will be talked about, but years down the road, and after Lindsie can ‘process and heal.’ But you will have to pay for it … .”
“DUI and attempting to elude police? ZERO excuses,” another added. “Lindsie has more than enough money to cover an Uber. [Lindsie’s ex-husband Will Campbell] needs to take full custody of [their son] Jackson at this point. This also needs to be addressed on the podcast now! Not 3 years later on a paid Patreon. This is not behavior you sweep under the rug.”
In a screenshot shared online by @teenmomshaderoom__, Kail’s social media manager responded to some of the recent backlash in a lengthy statement posted to the podcast’s fan page. In the statement, the social media manager reminded long-time listeners of ‘Coffee Convos’ that there are “behind the scenes factors that influence what can and cannot be discussed directly” by Kail and Lindsie on their podcast, as well as certain things that “simply can’t be addressed right away.” However, the social media manager went on to assure fans that when Kail and Lindsie are able to speak about these events, they will do so.
“I understand that as listeners and viewers, it’s natural to want all the details the moment something appears in a tabloid or starts circulating online,” the statement continued. “However, it’s important to remember that not everything can be discussed immediately when it happens. There are often circumstances, agreements, or personal considerations that require patience before information can be shared publicly.”
The statement concluded by telling listeners, “sometimes the full story comes with time,” while insisting that, “not every silence means someone is avoiding the topic.”

What an idiot! She was swerving… cop pulls her over smells alcohol and she’s slurring her speech. Cop detains and arrests her. Thus enters the probably cause to search and seize what is in her car. It ain’t rocket science .
