Kail Lowry Addresses Recent Negative Reviews for “Coffee Convos” Podcast & Reveals If Her Co-Host Lindsie Chrisley Will Ever Return

“Don’t get mad at us, just because we’re acting like Lindsie’s in the Witness Protection Program after getting a DUI!”

Kail Lowry is responded after taking a lot of heat from listeners of her Coffee Convos podcast who are unhappy with the direction the podcast is going— and about Kail’s refusal to reveal more details about why her co-host Lindsie Chrisley has been Missing In Action on the show since her May 24 arrest. (The Ashley broke the news last month that the former “Chrisley Knows Best” star was charged with DUI, Attempting to Elude, Reckless Driving, Improper Passing, and Speeding.)

During a bonus episode of Coffee Convos posted on Tuesday, Kail addressed the uptick in negative reviews that listeners have been leaving for the podcast. She also revealed whether or not Lindsie will ever return to the show.

“You guys have been so sweet asking about Lindsie pretty much at every tour stop and I really appreciate that,” Kail— who is currently in the middle of her Fatherless Behavior live tour—stated. “I did go back to her and tell her that people were asking for her, so that was really nice.”

Kail encouraged podcast fans who have been asking about Lindsie to send the former ‘Chrisley Knows Best’ star “all the love and support right now.”

“Umm…ain’t she the one who got the DUI?”

“We’re trying to work through 2026,” Kail said. “I’ve said it a million times already but I mean it more now than ever. It’s like, 2026 has really been a really challenging year for us.”

(As The Ashley previously reported, Lindsie’s now ex-boyfriend David Landsman was arrested in April for battery and aggravated assault against her. The exes each filed requests for mutual restraining orders, but agreed to settle out of court and follow a mutual no-contact order. David’s criminal charges are still pending.)

Anyway, Kail then read some of the recent negative reviews for Coffee Convos on Apple, one of which called Kail out for not addressing in-depth why Lindsie still hasn’t returned to the podcast. The listener was also angry that Kail has not made it clear if Lindsie will even be returning to Coffee Convos, something Kail responded to.

“Lindsie and I have a 50/50 business. Lindsie will be coming back,” she said. “There was a lot of moving parts so there was no way for me to answer that question before right now.”

The actual answer as to why the show is tanking…probably…

Kail also addressed the future changes that may be coming to the podcast, given the increase of negative reviews from listeners who don’t like the direction Coffee Convos has taken over the last year or so.

“How can we move forward and take what you guys are saying and restructure the show? Or figure out what the best course of action is regarding all of this?” Kail said, adding that she’s not trying to be cryptic regarding what’s going on with Lindsie and the podcast.

“Being cryptic for attention is like a sport for Kail and Lindsie. Guuurl, please!”

“We are not intentionally being evasive for any of these questions or any of the feedback or things like that,” Kail insisted. “We’re genuinely just learning as we go because we’ve never been in a situation like this.”

Kail addressed one negative review, that claimed that the podcast has “taken such a strange shift,” since Kail’s longtime podcast producer and assistant Kristen Hook left in December.

The listener also called out Kail and Lindsie for having a “lack of transparency for what is happening in their lives [while] dropping breadcrumbs for the listeners,” something the person said made listeners “feel excluded.”

“I know [Lindsie’s] going through a hard time but disappearing is not the answer,” the listener wrote.

“I dunno, it’s been working pretty well for me as of late…”

Kail acknowledged that she and Lindsie do “breadcrumb” topics to their listeners (i.e. give hints about a topic but refuse to actually address it).

“It’s frustrating when we do it,” Kail agreed. “I don’t think it’s cute, I don’t think it’s funny. I think it’s one thing to do it in a marketing strategy…but as far as [talking about things happening] in our lives go, it doesn’t make sense and you’re right, we should not be doing it.”

“If only there was a way we could stop doing it! If only!”

While some listeners have speculated on social media that Lindsie’s extended absence from the podcast could be because she was in rehab, Kail seemed to disprove that theory during a stop on her Fatherless Behavior live tour. While in Indianapolis on June 18, Kail and Becky Hayter made a phone call to Lindsie while onstage during the VIP segment. Lindsie revealed in the call that, at the moment, she was “at the beach getting oysters.”

Lindsie (via FaceTime) wished the tour-goers well and assured them she’s “fine.”

(As The Ashley previously reported, Lindsie was supposed to join Kail for several dates on her live tour but backed out after receiving her DUI.)

On the bonus episode on June 23, Kail stated that she and Lindsie are talking about the future of Coffee Convos, though.

“I think with these conversations that Lindsie and I are having, we’re planning to come up with a plan for how to do all of this,” Kail said.

Another (former) fan of the podcast claimed that Kail and Lindsie now give off having “champagne problems and a mean girl energy.” The listener stated that Lindsie “talks like she’s better than everyone. It’s giving bully and very judgmental.”

“Well I AM a Chrisley…that’s kind of our thing…”

“We clearly need to restructure the show, we’re aware of that,” Kail responded. “It’s hard because you guys want real-time updates, you want real-life stuff and I understand that, in some ways, we can be really relatable and in other ways we can’t. And I think that’s life, unfortunately.

“It’s challenging because if we talk about co-parenting, I get a lot of heat about talking about my kids’ dads,” Kail continued. “…so if I talk about co-parenting— even when it’s respectful…I get a lot of heat and a lot of backlash for talking about the kids’ dads.

“Yeah, we vote against more episodes about that topic!”

“But then if I talk about real-life stuff [such as my budget for a beach house], then I’m not relatable and I’m out of touch,” Kail added.

“We are really trying to understand what it is that you guys want, but also with the understanding that life does change and we do maybe have champagne problems.”

“The Notorious B.I.G. was right— mo money, mo problems!”

“I’m sort of at a loss because I want the majority of you guys to be happy and to listen and to have the same fanbase we’ve always had all these years but it’s really hard…”

Kail then got a bit snarky with the listeners, stating basically that they’re receiving complaints about everything they discuss on the podcast, leaving them with very little that they can cover.

“What are we left with?… What is it that we can talk about?” Kail asked. “Do you guys want to start submitting topics to us again? Like, I’m not really sure.”

  1. I listened to Coffee Convos from 2017-2022. It was good when they talked about relatable parenting issues, current events, and every day life things. I have to agree with the criticisms of Lindsie. She was unbearable back then, and I’m sure she’s just gotten worse. The bread crumbing was annoying even back then. I briefly stopped listening to Brain Candy after all the drama between Lindsie and Kail and Susie Meister but I’ve now been listening to Brain Candy for years and it’s never stale. Coffee Convos was stale in 2022. Kail should definitely regroup.

  2. Ew. This is fucking gross ass behavior. You may have champagne problems now, but just remember you started from nowhere and got where you were because you got knocked up on a show that lead to more opportunities others will never have. Let’s not forget you had Jo’s parents homing your ass when your alcoholic mother and absent father couldn’t be bothered.

“Sorry I’m not relatable anymore guys, I’m rich.” I mean how tone deaf do you have to be? Just solidifying the criticism you’re receiving is correct 🤦 What a moron
