Meri Brown says doesn’t trust her former sister wife (and bestie) Robyn, due to Robyn’s apparent inability to tell the truth.
Meow.
In a preview clip of Sunday’s episode of ‘Sister Wives’, Meri implied that she is now seeing how Robyn manipulated her during the years they (as well as Christine and Janelle Brown) were all married to Kody.
“As far as my relationship with Robyn, if we’re talking about trust, there’s definitely no trust there for me,” Meri said. “I don’t want to think of anybody as being vindictive or calculating or manipulative. I just don’t want to see that and I don’t want to think that anybody does that.”
As ‘Sister Wives’ fans know, Meri was by far the most devoted of the sister wives to Robyn and worked hard to maintain their friendship until leaving both Kody and Robyn behind in early 2023. She has refrained from speaking ill of Robyn and Kody for the most part since then (at least, much less so than Janelle and Christine have). In 2025, she even defended herself against fans’ claims that she was “still protecting” The Curled One and his wife.
Based on the clip of Sunday’s episode, though, it appears that Meri’s days of protecting Robyn are over. She stated that Robyn is known for lying.
“I don’t think that I could ever have a conversation with Robyn and get complete truth from her. Same with Kody,” Meri confessed.
Later in the clip, though, Meri expressed that she hopes to get to a place where she can be cordial with Kody, with whom she shares her only child, Leon.
“Not that I’d want to, you know, be his wife again, by any means,” Meri said. “But we just have a history. It would be really cool if we could just be comfortable with each other.”
Earlier this season, Meri revealed that Kody and Robyn no longer communicate with her, despite the seemingly decent relationship the trio had even after Meri left the marriage.
“ … you know who’s not willing to talk to me? Kody and Robyn,” Meri said, adding that the couple didn’t even let her know that they were no longer filming for ‘Sister Wives.’ “And then they’re like, ‘Umm, also, we’re not going to film with you guys anymore.’”
During last season’s Tell-All episode, Meri revealed that one of the main reasons she no longer trusts Robyn is due to the fact that she now believes Robyn played a part in her 2015 catfishing scandal. (If you somehow were lucky enough to miss the “Meri Gets Catfished” storyline, it was revealed in Season 6 that Meri– while married to Kody– had engaged in a romantic relationship online with a man named Sam, who was later revealed to be a woman.)
Meri stated that she felt “betrayed” by Robyn during that time.
“I would have conversations with her and then, my private conversation, things would be found out,” Meri said. “Other people would find out… there were times that I would have a conversation with Robyn that the catfisher would find out about.”
During last season’s Tell-All, Robyn denied having any part in Meri’s catfishing scandal.
” [I] don’t know what she’s talking about … that’s news to me … ,” Robyn told host Suki Krishnan.
Obviously, Robyn has not publicly responded to Meri’s new claims about her inability to tell the truth.
