Tony Raines is officially a girl dad times three.
The Challenge star announced this week on social media that he and wife Alyssa Giancone welcomed their second child, daughter Ivy Monroe, on June 22.
“After a long journey, countless prayers, and seasons of waiting, we are beyond grateful to welcome our beautiful baby girl into the world,” Tony posted Thursday on Instagram.
As fans of ‘The Challenge’ know, Tony and Alyssa were high school sweethearts and have been married since 2023. The couple are already parents to nine-year-old daughter Isla, who is just a few months younger than Tony’s other daughter Harper, whom he shares with ex Madison Channing Walls, his costar on The Real World: Skeletons. (Harper is being raised by her mom’s parents in Texas, but regularly visits her dad, stepmom and half-sister in Louisiana. Madison has been open about her addiction issues and spent time in jail last year for drug possession.)
In his baby announcement this week, Tony acknowledged the emotional journey he and Alyssa went through to grow their family.
“Nine years since welcoming our last daughter, and after walking through the heartbreak of miscarriage four years ago and seeing the toll that took on my wife, God finally blessed us with precious baby girl,” he wrote. “Today, we officially became a family of five.”
Tony and Alyssa announced on Christmas that they would be welcoming a new addition to their family this summer, during which Tony also opened up about his and Alyssa struggle’s with miscarriage and infertility since welcoming their daughter Isla in 2016.
“Most people don’t know, but three years ago on September 27, we lost our baby at 11 weeks and 3 days,” Tony revealed. “We spent time healing, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. We grieved, we grew, we got married, and quietly kept hoping that one day we’d get to share happier news. Trying again wasn’t easy. Month after month of negatives, ovulation strips, appointments, bloodwork, screenings… the emotional toll it takes on you as a person and as a couple is something you can’t put into words.
“We reached a point where we finally said, ‘If it doesn’t happen by this December, we’ll stop trying and be thankful for what we have,’” he recalled. “And then, when we least expected it… everything changed … .”
Two months after Tony shared the happy news with fans in December, he took to social media to reveal that he was celebrating one-year of sobriety. The 38-year-old began his sobriety journey after being arrested in February 2025 for allegedly causing a multi-car crash that reportedly left four individuals injured, for which he was charged with Operating While Intoxicated (OWI), as well as Reckless Operation and four counts of Negligent Injuring.
The former MTV star hinted at his past struggles while introducing fans to baby Ivy this week.
“Becoming a father has been the greatest blessing of my life, and moments like this remind me why I work so hard to stay on track,” he wrote. “More than ever, I want to be the husband and father my family deserves. Every day is another opportunity to lead with love, faith, and gratitude.
“God’s grace has carried us through the valleys and blessed us beyond measure on the mountaintops,” Tony continued. “We will never take these gifts for granted. Welcome to the world, Ivy Monroe. We prayed for you, waited for you, and already love you more than words can express.”
