Josh Duggar Transferred to Ohio Prison– the Fourth Prison the TLC Star Has Moved to This Year

That’s a wrap on Josh Duggar’s 2026 Summer Slammer Tour…After multiple prison transfers within the last few months, incarcerated former 19 Kids and Counting star Josh Duggar has now landed in federal prison located in Ohio, where he will continue serving the remainder of his more than 12-year prison sentence for receiving child sex abuse materials (CSAM).

According to the Northwest Arkansas Democrat Gazette, the disgraced former TLC star’s new prison pad is at Elkton Federal Correctional Institution in Lisbon, Ohio. Elkton– located about 90 miles southeast of Cleveland– is described as a low-security federal correctional institution with an adjacent low-security satellite prison.

“I sure hope they gave our boy a nice midwest welcoming!”

Josh’s excursion to Elkton is just the latest transfer for the father of seven, whose penitentiary pilgrimage began in May when he was moved from FCI Seagoville in Seagoville, Texas, to a federal medical facility in Fort Worth, Texas– the same facility where Joseph “Joe Exotic” Maldonado-Passage of Netflix’s Tiger King is currently serving a 21-year prison sentence.

Despite Josh being transferred to a federal medical facility in May, his attorney, Beau Brindley, insisted that the 38-year-old’s health was “fine.” However, Josh’s attorney later alleged that the move was done out of retaliation following Josh’s latest appeal attempt.

Josh’s lawyer shared his theory with TMZ last month, telling the outlet that, while the prison claimed that Josh was moved from FCI Seagoville as part of a “routine transfer,” he believed that Josh was actually sent to the Fort Worth facility– located 46 miles away– because he and Josh had pointed out errors in the mail system at FCI Seagoville during Josh’s June hearing. (While Josh’s latest appeal was denied by a judge last month, he has reportedly informed the court that he plans to appeal the judge’s denial.)

“Can’t stop, won’t stop!” (Should ABSOLUTELY stop.)

After spending a brief amount of time at the Fort Worth facility, Josh went on to be transferred again, this time to a federal prison in Oklahoma City. Josh’s jailhouse journey concluded at the Ohio facility where he currently remains.

While Josh’s was previously locked up

As you know, Josh’s wife, Anna Duggar, continues to reside with the couple’s seven children in Fayetteville, Arkansas. While Anna previously had to drive nearly six hours to Seagoville in order to visit her slammer-dwelling spouse, she will now have to drive more than twice as far to visit Josh, who is nearly 14 hours away in Lisbon.

“That’s fine! Now I’ll have even MORE time to spend thinking about how lucky I am to be Mrs. Josh Duggar!”

As of now, Josh is scheduled to be locked up until February 2, 2033. He will be 45 years old when released.

  1. I mean…..clearly the problem is the prison mail system and that’s why Josh was moved repeatedly. There’s no way that the prison system would retaliate against a big CSAM viewing, disgusting, cry baby, consequence adverse, disgusting douche nozzle. Did I mention that he’s disgusting?

I’m trying not to wish bad things upon people—especially people I’ve never actually met, but dang it, I would not be sad at all to learn that the inmates of all the prison systems were giving this disgusting piece of garbage the welcome he truly deserves.
