‘In the City’ Season 1 wrapped up this week with exes Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke rehashing their relationship, and Amanda accusing her Kyle of having sex with someone else while they were still married.
As Bravo fans know, Amanda and Kyle announced in January that they were calling it quits after four years of marriage. The news of the couple’s split wasn’t a huge shock to ‘Summer House’ fans, who had followed the pair’s journey over the last 10 years. While Kyle previously admitted to cheating on Amanda before the two got engaged in 2018, he seemed shocked when Amanda chose to bring up his out-of-wedlock hump session during the Reunion.
While much of the ‘Summer House’ Season 10 Reunion was focused on Amanda’s highly criticized relationship with West Wilson, Amanda showed up to the ‘In the City’ Reunion seemingly determined to redirect some backlash onto Kyle by revealing that she “recently” found out that Kyle slept with someone while they were still married.
“ … I heard that he had sex with someone … while we were married. [That was confirmed] from that person’s friend,” Amanda claimed on Part 2 of the Reunion. “That person told their friend that it was 100 percent true [that they had sex] while we were married.”

Kyle appeared “confused” by Amanda’s accusation, though he denied that the incident happened. Meanwhile, Amanda– who claimed that she found out about the alleged indiscretion a few weeks earlier– told host Andy Cohen that she heard similar rumors about Kyle cheating during the marriage.
“I mean, throughout our relationship, yeah [there were other incidents],” she said. “And a lot of the times [Kyle] didn’t have an answer and he didn’t know, and so I don’t know what’s true and what’s not, because he didn’t remember.”

When Kyle began to defend his past actions, Amanda interjected to note that these alleged actions were “inappropriate enough” to give people the idea that he was cheating on her. She also took issue with the fact that Kyle hung out with “random people” at their office (which neighbors their formerly shared apartment) the night before she moved out– a moment that led to a tense conversation between the two, which viewers got to see earlier this season.
In addition to calling Kyle’s “random people” hangout sesh “weird,” Amanda claimed that the incident took away any remaining hope she had that she and Kyle could fix their marriage.

“When I was moving out, I was hopeful,” Amanda insisted. “The fact that that’s the note that I left on changed my feelings about moving out and what that step meant.”
As Amanda and Kyle went on to discuss other issues in their marriage, it was mentioned that Kyle had made out with someone after he and Amanda got married– something the ‘In the City’ cast confirmed that they knew nothing about.
“I didn’t tell anyone about it,” Amanda explained.
“I think we protected various aspects of our marriage, I will say that,” Kyle stated. “I’m not proud of any type of indiscretions.”
Despite seemingly admitting that the particular incident had occurred, Kyle went on to claim that he didn’t have “any recollection” of the moment. He also suggested that he could have just been dancing closely with someone in public, making it appear that he and the girl were kissing.

“At the end of the day, he was out at a club by himself, solo, dancing close enough to someone while married that they could have mistaken it for making out,” Amanda said. “And there’s a video.”
“And I’m not proud of it,” Kyle added.
Despite his track record, Kyle insisted on Part 2 of the Reunion that he won’t have a problem with infidelity in future relationships. He stated that he “can better appreciate the role [that] trust plays,” due to the fact that he “never got it back” in his relationship with Amanda.
Um…?
Amanda vehemently disagreed with Kyle’s statement, arguing that Kyle continued to “break [her] trust” on multiple occasions.
Surprisingly, Tuesday’s Reunion concluded on a relatively positive note, with Amanda and Kyle both agreeing that they “feel lighter and at peace” after their split.
“I mean, it bums me out that it didn’t work because I think that there was a point in time where we had some incredible chemistry,” Kyle said. “I do think that the trust thing played a huge role.”

“The reason that I think we stayed together longer than we should [have] is because there’s so much love between us, and there is friendship there also,” Amanda added. “And I mean, we fell in love with each other for a reason. We agreed to get married for a reason. I think back to the good times we’ve had still to this day and find myself getting emotional about it …
“We’ve had such a good time together, but we couldn’t make it work, and that sucks and it’s sad.”
Later in the Reunion, Amanda gave Andy an update on where her divorce proceedings currently stand.
“He did respond to my lawyer, with some requests,” Amanda said of Kyle. “He wants to walk away divorced but is not just walking away.”

Kyle interjected to say that his requests were “certain things like ‘Get your stuff out of my apartment.’ God forbid I ask!”
“There’s also money stuff and I don’t wanna get into it—” Amanda started, only for Kyle to cut her off and reveal, “I still pay your health insurance!”
“Thank you so much!” Amanda replied.
It was then brought up that, in terms of public opinion, Kyle is the clear winner in the divorce.
“You’re getting away with the Golden Ticket here,” Georgina Ferzli stated. “The world loves you after this. You were about to be cancelled! You were about to be done!”

“God forbid I’m cancelled for being in an unhappy marriage and being the guy in the divorce,” Kyle replied.
“You were though!” Georgina insisted.
“I put a lot into our marriage and didn’t get much out,” Kyle replied.
Season 1 of ‘In the City’ is now streaming on Peacock. Watch a clip from Part 2 of the Reunion below.
