CT Tamburello’s new romance with Phaedra Parks continues to raise eyebrows, with a source now claiming that ‘The Challenge’ star was recently “courting”– and professing his love to– ‘Jersey Shore’ star Angelina Pivarnick shortly before going public with his romance with Phaedra.
As The Ashley previously told you, CT and Phaedra hard-launched their relationship last week, much to the delight of viewers who watched the co-stars hit it off during Season 2 of ‘The Traitors.’
While the news of CT and Phaedra’s pairing was a pleasant surprise to most fans, Angelina took to social media last week with a vague– and seemingly shady– post about the new couple.
“Soo much I could say right now because I know what really happened lol,” she wrote, without providing any context.
According to Reality Blurb, Angelina fired off the snarky comment about CT and Phaedra on social media because she was recently romantically involved with CT herself.
“CT was talking to Angelina quite recently,” a source told the outlet. “He was asking her to go on double dates.”
The source went on to claim that, not only was CT “being flirtatious” with Angelina, but he was also telling her “that he loved her.”
“It is interesting that his relationship with Phaedra suddenly comes out,” the source continued. “It’s bizarre timing, and it’s definitely suspect, especially given he was talking to Angelina so recently.”
While some online have speculated that the timing of Angelina’s remark was also suspect, due to the fact that ‘Jersey Shore Family Vacation’ recently ended, the same source insisted that this isn’t a case of Angelina “seeking press and notoriety.”
“There’s no reason for anyone to make this stuff up,” they said, adding that the 46-year-old ‘Challenge’ vet “does things that Phaedra might not like,” and that it will be “interesting to see how she deals and how this ends up working out.”
The source went on to call it “odd” that CT has moved on with his 52-year-old former castmate yet continues to drag his heels on signing paperwork in order to finalize his divorce from estranged wife, Catalina White.
As The Ashley told you last week, Catalina made a similar remark on an E! News post announcing CT and Phaedra’s relationship, writing, “Sign the papers,” followed by three clapping emojis. She later doubled down when asked by TMZ to weigh in on her ex’s new romance.
“I genuinely wish Chris well in whatever relationship or career he chooses to pursue,” she told the outlet. “I’m not interested in commenting on whether his new relationship is real, for publicity or anything in between. What I would like is for him to put that same energy into ending our marriage that he’s putting into publicly promoting his new relationship.
“Since then, I’ve been trying to finalize this divorce,” she continued. “My counsel has made repeated efforts to move things forward as quickly as possible, and we continue to wait for his cooperation.”
As you know, Phaedra accompanied CT to Saturday’s Creative Arts Emmy Awards and later shared a series of coupled-up photos taken at the event.
“Some came for the awards. I came with the prize,” Phaedra captioned her post. “Thank you to the real trophy for making a beautiful night even better.”
Following their night out at the Emmys, the pair traveled to New York together, where Phaedra was scheduled to attend an event on Fire Island.
At this time, Angelina has yet to expound on her Instagram comment from last week, and CT and Phaedra have not commented on the situation either.
