CT Tamburello says he and girlfriend Phaedra Parks aren’t trying to hide their new relationship from the public, though he also assures fans that the two aren’t “looking for attention” either.
On the latest episode of the ‘Creators Inc.’ podcast, ‘The Challenge’ vet opened up about his romance with the ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ star, just weeks after the two– who met while filming Season 2 of ‘The Traitors’– debuted their pairing.
While CT didn’t reveal on the episode whether or not he thinks Phaedra is “the one,” he assured listeners that he and Phaedra won’t be keeping their romance completely under wraps.
“I’ll say this, I think with me and Phaedra, and I really do believe this, the way we are, you know, she’s 52 and I’m 46, that we’ve been around the world from London to the Bay and as much as we want to keep our relationship private, we also understand that we’re in the public eye … ,” CT said. “At the same time, we don’t want to hide who we are. So, it’s not like we’re running from stuff, but we’re not looking for attention [either], if that makes sense.
“ … I’ll leave it there, because one thing I’ve learned is that, as much as I’ve been an over-sharer in the past, I think it’s important to keep some things private … ,” he continued.
Later in the episode, CT spoke about the feedback he and Phaedra have received since going public with their relationship. While CT seemed to acknowledge that this feedback has been mostly positive, he also acknowledged that some fans have been asking “how the f**k” he managed to “pull that off.”
According to CT, he and Phaedra made “a strong connection” while filming ‘The Traitors,’ despite the fact that he was in a relationship with someone else at the time. (CT was presumably referring to Catalina White, who he went on to marry in October 2024; the two are currently in the middle of a divorce.) CT also noted that during filming he was “still going through a really heavy divorce” from ex-wife Lilianet Solares. (While CT and Lilianet split in 2022, their divorce wasn’t finalized until November 2023.)
“ … I do think there was more that meets the eye, but it was respected,” he said, adding that Phaedra was also in a relationship while filming Season 2.
While his connection with Phaedra didn’t become romantic inside ‘The Traitors’ castle, CT gave Phaedra credit for helping others get to know the real him during filming.
“ … I guess I can say this now, that what Phaedra did for me was that, she showed everybody that I was a good man,” CT said. “And because of that, I really didn’t want to cheapen that with a showmance or anything else.”
CT also told listeners that it wasn’t until later “down the line” after he mentioned Phaedra’s name at an event that the two started talking again, adding, “and then here were are now.”
