Kelly Osbourne has no plans to mend her relationship with estranged sister Aimee anytime soon, revealing this week that her older sibling is someone she doesn’t want in her life.
As fans of ‘The Osbournes’ may remember, despite being one of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne’s three children, Aimee chose not to appear on her family’s reality show, unlike her sister Kelly and younger brother Jack. (Ozzy– who died in July 2025– also had three children from his first marriage.)

While Aimee opted out of appearing on reality TV and has kept most of her personal life private over the years, she continues to release music and has even made a couple of public appearances with her family following her dad’s death.
Despite Kelly and Aimee sharing the loss of their dad, Kelly revealed on Tuesday’s episode of the ‘We Need to Talk’ podcast that she and her sister are estranged, but that she “can’t tell the whole truth” about the reason behind the estrangement, as she didn’t “want to speak on behalf of [Aimee].”
“And I do, you know– we’re not close, but I do respect her enough to, you know, keep her anonymity … ,” Kelly said.
Kelly went on to describe the distance she felt between herself and Aimee growing up, particular when compared to the closeness she shared with her younger brother.
“It was always me and Jack,” Kelly said. “If I’m honest, my older sister didn’t really ever acknowledge me and my brother. She was just in her own world, doing her own thing. And I do, to a certain extent, if I’m honest, feel as though she’s embarrassed of us.”
Kelly clarified that she feels as though Aimee is embarrassed of their whole family, not just Kelly and Jack, adding, “I’ll never really, truly understand, it just felt that way.”
Kelly later admitted that she feels as though she “never got a big sister,” insisting that the lack of closeness between herself and Aimee caused her to have to “learn to do certain things that a big sister should have taught [her].”
“And I do have a resentment there,” Kelly said. “I’ll have that forever.”
As for the reason behind her and Aimee’s continued estrangement, Kelly claimed that she and her sister are just “very different” people.
“Everything I am, she’s not,” she explained. “Everything she is, I’m not. Like, you couldn’t be more polar opposite. We’re like oil and water.”
While Kelly said there’s no hope of reconciling with her sister, she insisted that she still “respects” and “accepts” Aimee as a person, even if Aimee doesn’t do the same in return.
“ … we’re different, and that’s okay,” Kelly said. “ … If you’re not going to accept me for who I am and constantly be trying to change me and say horrible things about me and truly seem to thrive when I’m not doing well, I don’t want you in my life.”
