Jessi Draper Confirms Dakota Mortensen & Jordan Ngatikaura Are Done with ‘Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’

“We’re out!”

#DadTok is crumbling!

On Tuesday, ‘Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ star Jessi Draper confirmed on the latest episode of Trisha Paytas’s podcast, Just Trish, that her ex-husband Jordan Ngatikaura and Taylor Frankie Paul’s ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen will not be returning to the show.

“Jordan and Dakota are done filming, which is good because once you’re an ex, there is no need, I don’t think,” Jessi confirmed. “So, I think it’s okay. Wish them the best, but like, let’s just keep it with the women.”

Jessi and Jordan were married for five years and had two children before Jordan uncovered Jessi’s emotional affair with ‘Vanderpump Villa’ star Marciano Brunette. They split for three months and unsuccessfully attempted to reconcile in therapy. Season 3 of the show documented their struggles surrounding the affair before Jordan officially filed for divorce in March– which Jessi claimed she found out through TMZ, not from Jordan himself.

Just five days ago, their divorce was finalized and Jessi has continued to see Marciano.

“Does this mean I’m a main cast member now?”

Taylor and Dakota’s story is not as straightforward. The Ashley has been following the twosome’s ongoing legal battle following the release of a disturbing video where Taylor pushed, kicked, and threw a metal stool at Dakota. The exes– who share a one-year-old son– have since filed restraining orders against each other and multiple custody motions, but the case is ongoing.

Dakota, waiting for Taylor to somehow make this about her…

In addition to leaving “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” Dakota was also edited out of Season 3 of “Vanderpump Villa,” as Lisa Vanderpump did not want the drama to take away from the rest of the show.

“Ouch, Lisa!”

With this announcement, five cast members have now officially left the show. Demi Engemman left the show abruptly in Season 4 to focus on her family and mental health amidst assault allegations against Marciano (yes, the same Marciano that Jessi is seeing), although it’s unclear if she’ll return in later seasons. Whitney Leavitt also announced in May that she’d be leaving the show after Season 5 to focus on her acting career.

On Tuesday, The Ashley reported that Mikayla Matthews announced her departure from the show and confirmed it was over Taylor’s involvement.

“Peace out!”

“The ONLY reason I’m leaving the show is because I was told a certain person is coming back,” she explained in an Instagram story. “I filmed [Season] 6 ’cause that person was not there, then we were told she was coming back. I said great, then I will not be participating, God bless and goodbye. Haven’t filmed a day since.”

It seems that some of the cast may also follow in Mikayla’s footsteps. Following Mikayla’s announcement this week, Mayci Neeley told a fan on social media that she’s finishing filming on Season 6 and is “not sure after that” if she will continue appearing on the show. Layla Taylor gave a similar response on Monday when asked if she will return to ‘Mormon Wives’ in the wake of Mikayla’s exit.

“I just love her so much,” Layla said of her now former castmate. “It’s such an impossible situation for everyone involved but I’m finishing out Season 6 and then tbd.”

According to Variety, Season 6 of ‘Mormon Wives’ is in production, though Taylor’s involvement is unclear at this time.

All episodes of ‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ are now streaming on Hulu.
