Former ‘Challenge’ star Robin Hibbard continues to thrive on her “long road to recovery” following a years-long battle with drug addiction.
On Thursday, the former MTV star shared with fans that she is “doing great” and is currently “a little over three years clean.” Robin shared the positive update with members of a ‘Challenge’/‘Real World’/‘Road Rules’ group on Facebook after one fan asked if anyone had heard “how Robin’s doing lately.”

“I’m a full time mom to my kids and a manager of the Original Outback [Steakhouse] in Tampa, FL,” Robin wrote. “It was a long road to recovery that required some mental health evaluation but I am proof that we do recover and that mental health if left untreated can destroy your life but if treated correctly you can thrive and that recovery from drugs is possible.
“It takes work but man is it worth it,” she continued. “Living a life way beyond what I thought was possible. Just wanted to say this bc I know I haven’t spoke out publicly bc I’m still healing. Much love to all my fans and friends and my reality family.”
In another reply to the post, Robin claimed that she sought help through an organization called “Created for Women,” which she credits for helping her “get [her] life back.” (While it’s unconfirmed, Robin may be referring to the Tampa-based nonprofit “Created,” whose website is createdwomen.com.)
“ … best decision I ever made bc I got the support I needed,” Robin said of the nonprofit. “I got the mental health I desperately needed. I’m thriving not surviving anymore … .”
Robin’s latest update comes more than 18 months after she returned to social media to reveal that she had been sober for nearly two years following a years-long battle with drug addiction and trouble with the law. According to her Facebook page, Robin has been sober since April 3, 2023.
Robin shared in her January 2025 update that she was working at the time to regain custody of her children– which she has seemingly done, according to her latest comments. As you may remember, Robin and husband Brian Coulter lost custody of their kids to Robin’s family in 2019. She also reportedly filed for divorce from Brian in November 2024.
As The Ashley told you in May 2023, Robin was serving time behind bars after getting arrested outside her family’s home the previous month for allegedly “harassing” a family member who had a restraining order against the former reality star. (The family member had reportedly taken out the protective order against Robin in April 2022 after claiming that Robin had broken into the family’s home, destroyed things and was injecting herself with drugs.)

The now 46-year-old– who made her debut on ‘The Real World: San Diego’ and went on to compete on nine seasons of ‘The Challenge’– was arrested at the time and charged with violation of a domestic violence injunction. She was released from jail in June 2023, per a court order.
Prior to her 2023 arrest, Robin faced legal issues in August 2022 after being picked up for Resisting Arrest (without violence) and providing a false name to law enforcement. She was also arrested in the past for trespassing, possession of drugs without a prescription, and possession of heroin.

At the time of her 2022 legal mishap, Robin had been homeless and living near Tampa for several years.
In January 2022, her ex-boyfriend and ‘Challenge’ co-star Mark Long spoke about Robin’s post-‘Challenge’ struggles during an appearance on Johnny Bananas’ podcast, where he confirmed that Robin was battling an addiction to drugs.

“She’s in a bad place,” Mark said at the time. “I think the addiction has really taken a hold on her in a terrible way. I know a lot of people have tried to reach out, including her parents and husband.”

I remember the 2023 mugshot. It was shocking. But, she looks fantastic now. Good for her!
Addiction is real mother. Only good things for Robin.
So very happy for her!
