Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi says she’s “very excited” for her newly engaged former co-star DJ Pauly D, despite the fact that she and the rest of the ‘Jersey Shore Family Vacation’ cast had no idea that Pauly was planning to pop the question.
As The Ashley told you last week, Pauly proposed to Nikki Hall, his girlfriend of six years, in between performing a DJ set at the OMNIA Dayclub at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada.
While the proposal was far from an intimate affair, Nicole revealed on a recent episode of ‘MuchMusic’ that she didn’t learn about the couple’s engagement until after it happened, as Pauly had kept his proposal plan a secret.
“He didn’t tell any of us, so we were all like, ‘Hello?!’” Nicole said.
Although she was surprised to learn about Pauly and Nikki’s engagement, Nicole insists that she’s “very excited for them.”
“I feel like they were married anyway, but I mean she was excited to marry him and, yeah, I’m super excited for them,” she continued. “But yeah, Pauly didn’t say a word to any of us.
“So rude!” she added jokingly. “So, he kept it quiet, but, you know, we’re proud of him and yeah, we’re happy for them.”
As you know, Nikki happily accepted Pauly’s proposal, later telling fans on social media that it was “the easiest YES [she’s] ever said.”
“We’ve spent these years choosing each other, growing together, building a life we love, and never rushing a chapter just because the world was ready to read it,” she posted to Instagram the day after Pauly popped the question. “No pressure, no timeline. Just ours – and God’s. & as always, His timing was perfect.”
While Nicole (as well as other ‘Jersey Shore’ stars) congratulated the happy couple in the comment section of their post, she didn’t mention the fact that she wasn’t privy to Pauly’s proposal plan before it happened.
As ‘Jersey Shore’ fans know, the husband and wife to-be met in 2019 while filming MTV’s ‘Double Shot at Love with DJ Pauly D & Vinny’, though they didn’t start dating until the following year. This will be the first marriage for both Nikki and Pauly, the latter of whom shares 13-year-old daughter Arabella from a previous relationship.
