Jenny Slatten is responding to critics following her and husband Sumit Singh’s beach vacation, defending their choice to travel amidst her ongoing battle with ALS.
The “90 Day Fiance” pair went on a coastal getaway to Goa, a small state on the coast of the Arabian Sea, and have been posting photos to Facebook over the past three days. While many fans have supported the couple and encouraged Jenny to continue her adventures despite her worsening condition, others made comments accusing the couple of using the money donated to their GoFundMe page to pay for the trip instead of Jenny’s treatment.
On Tuesday, Jenny made a comment on one of her Facebook posts addressing the comments and shared why they chose to go to the beach despite her illness.
“If you don’t know what ALS does to a person please research it, we came to the beach for part of my treatment,” she wrote. “The ocean has negative [ions] and that’s good for an ALS PATIENT. [S]o that’s why we’re here[,] so please keep your negative hateful comments to yourself.
“My life is going to end and yours will keep going on so if you don’t agree with our sea vacation keep it to yourself,” she concluded. “Thank you.”
Jenny also posted a message directly to her haters.
“For all those people who are mad about the GoFundMe for my ALS, you can have the money if I can have your health.”
In some of the photos posted to social media of her trip, Jenny is seen being pushed in a wheelchair by Sumit. She told a person in the comment section, “I’m not in [a wheelchair] all the time, only on long walks.”

As The Ashley has previously reported, the GoFundMe set up for Jenny’s care has raised over $138,000. Jenny and Sumit have stated that Jenny’s health insurance does not cover her healthcare in India, where she resides with Sumit.
Sumit has stated that Jenny does not talk much anymore, due to it being painful, and will soon require the use of medical devices.
Just one hour after commenting on her post, Jenny made a separate Facebook post, writing, “ALS [DOESN’T] TAKE EVERYTHING AT ONCE, it takes a little at a time, so you get used to the new normal, then it comes back and takes something else.”

Fans are rallying in support of Jenny online and are encouraging her to live her life to the fullest.
“IDGAF what she does with her remaining time,” one fan wrote on Instagram. “She is basically in hospice care at this point. If she wants to go to Disneyland Paris just to have wine with Mickey Mouse then leave, then she should be able to. Leave Jenny alone.”
“Enjoy every minute and extend your stay,” fellow “90 Day” alum David Toborowsky commented on her Facebook post.
The Ashley has followed Jenny’s ALS progression since she announced her diagnosis in May, but Jenny has been battling the disease for much longer than that. Sumit shared that doctors officially diagnosed her in December 2025, but estimated that she could’ve been living with the early stages and symptoms of ALS for as long as two years.
ALS, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, is a “fatal and progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord,” according to the Mayo Clinic. It causes muscle weakness and, eventually, loss of mobility and speech.
There is currently no cure for ALS. Last month, family friend Serma Minincleri said Jenny is taking two medications to slow down the chemical responses that cause her debilitating symptoms, but they do not actually eradicate the disease.
According to the couple’s latest updates, Jenny’s condition is progressing and she is struggling with mobility, speech, and pain management.

Jenny and Sumit are still pursuing an appeal for Sumit’s emergency tourist visa application, which was rejected earlier this year. Sumit explained in an Instagram update that after mentioning their involvement with “90 Day Fiance,” he believes the interviewer made up his mind that Sumit’s intentions with coming to the US were not as he said they were. They are continuing the process of getting Jenny and Sumit to America to get Jenny more specialized care for her condition.

Keep living your life and making all wonderful memories Jenny for your family
People need to mind their own business.
She is actively dying. Every day, she is losing parts of herself that most of us take for granted: the ability to walk, talk, breathe freely, and eat. Before this disease takes her life, it will take so much more from her. Her mind will still be there. She will still be able to think, reason, and understand everything happening around her, but she will eventually be trapped in a body she can no longer control.
So, if she wants to take a trip to the fucking moon and back, she shouldn’t have to justify that choice to a bunch of nosy strangers.
Would these people prefer that she never feel the wind on her face again? Never feel the warmth of the sun on her skin or the coolness of the ocean? Should she just curl up in a dark room, draw the curtains, and stare at the ceiling while she still has the chance to experience the world around her? Would that make them happy?
She is losing enough already. She shouldn’t have to spend what precious time she has left defending her choices to people who have no idea what it’s like to walk in her shoes.
Let her live. Let her experience things. Let her make memories while she still can. People can be real assholes.😡
