No More Babies! ‘Teen Mom 2’ Star Jenelle Evans Confirms She Got Her Tubes Tied

“Tie ’em up, guys! I’m done!”

There will be no more babies slip-slidin’ their way out of Jenelle Evans’ spawn shoot!

The Teen Mom 2 star reportedly got her “tubes tied” earlier this week. Her “rep” confirmed that Jenelle had the procedure in an interview with Us Weekly.

(The confirmation came just hours after Jenelle’s husband David Eason had, for some reason, denied that his wife had undergone tubal ligation, telling his Instagram followers “and no she did not have her tubes tied.”)

The “rep” (who sounds a bit confused about the procedure and female anatomy in general) told Us Weekly that Jenelle had “polyps on her uterus and cysts on her ovaries. Her left ovary was removed, while the right one was tied. The polyps were sent off to the lab for testing.”

(Jenelle probably meant that she had her right Fallopian tube tied, not ovary.)

“Ya can’t tie an ovary, Juh-nelle!”

“She’s healing properly and focusing on her business ventures,” her rep told the magazine.

“And just like that her tubes were tied and she didn’t want anymore babies,” Jenelle tweeted (then deleted) on Friday.

Jenelle’s “rep” added that David was “by her side during the procedure.” (We can assume they meant in the hospital waiting room, because there’s no way any hospital would allow a random husband to suit up and lurk in the operating room. However, if they did, it may have looked something like what’s pictured below.)

“I’ll be right here…staring at you the whole time they are tyin’ them tubes!”

David did confirm that he was at the hospital with Jenelle, though, by posting the random surfboard he gave her as a get well present.

“Got my babe a get well soon gift to encourage her to get back on her feet!” he captioned the photo. “It sucks you had to go through this but at least we got some answers and you should be all better in no time! I love you so much!”

In an interview with E! News, Jenelle revealed why she decided to close up the ol’ baby maker.

“I decided to do it because I had constant pain on my left side and I get extremely sick when pregnant,” she said. “I’m also happy with the number of kids I have now.”

“Being back on my regular cycle was very important for me. I was on the IUD for birth control and it thinned out my lining,” she told E! “In the end I had my left ovary and polyps removed. They tied my right one though so I still have hormones.”

Jenelle— who currently has three kids– is the first of the ‘Teen Mom’ moms to get her tubes tied. (The procedure is reversible, though, so there may be more Jenelle spawn at some point.) Adam Lind— the father of Chelsea Houska‘s daughter Aubree– is the only other ‘Teen Mom 2’ cast member who has  been sterilized. Back in 2015, he confirmed that he got a vasectomy. (Teen Mom OG dad Gary Shirley also got a vasectomy– on-camera!– during the most-recent season of the show! Click here to relive that shiver-fest!)

  1. Praise Jesus and the lord above. This is the smartest thing Jenelle has ever done. Now, let’s work on securing the safety and well being of the children still stuck in The Land.

  2. If this is true, Jenelle might be smarter than we imagined. I thought she would be the last one to get her tubes tied. Kail, your turn. (OH WAIT! She wants another kid….*eyeroll*)

I think three kids is PLENTY especially for someone like her.

  3. Her life is on display to the world, the one thing she could and should keep private she can’t wait to blab in great detail.
MYV must be bumming out that she can’t reproduce for them any longer.

  4. David brought a surfboard to the hospital after Jenelle’s tubal ligation procedure?

(Jeez, surprised it wasn’t a shiny new gun.)

    SMDH

  5. My heart is broken. It’s like a great race horse that can no longer breed greatness. David has been a champion through this whole ordeal. God bless bro, hang in thee.

  6. Sorry but who tied the left tube and removed the opposite ovary? The right tube can still catch an egg released from the left ovary. I lost a tube due to an ectopic pregnancy and was told the remaining tube could still catch an egg from either tube although it may take longer. We haven’t seen the last kid shoot from Juh-nelles nether regions.

  7. Honestly, they should have just removed her right tube. After my third child, I decided to have a tubal ligation on my remaining tube. I lost my other one and the ovary to an ectopic pregnancy that ruptured. My doctor recommended removing my tube because it reduced the chance of it growing back and reduced the risk of ovarian cancer. I know the tube growing back is quite rare but, this one of the Teen Moms. There is always seems to be a miraculous pregnancy.

    1. You know she left her right tube so she still has a reason she can make up to have pain and pill chase.

    2. I call bullshit. I bet you she IS pregnant right now. She had some other procedure done and they will have a “miracle” baby in a few months to prove they are meant to be together. They will use this pregnancy as a ploy to get David back on TM2.

They have NEVER been truthful about anything in the past. I don’t think they will start telling the truth now. I bet the surfboard is a prop to hide the baby bump.

I guess we will see in a few months. I HOPE I’m wrong.

  8. The rest of the girls should take note, specifically Amber and Catelynn. Those two are also too unstable to be a parent.

  9. Do they realize that she can still get pregnant while the tubal ligation heals? It’s like how people don’t think they’re fertile after having a baby when in they’re actually more fertile then.

I say that they’ll have a “miracle” baby ie surgery was faulty and then threaten to sue.

  10. If this is real!!! Emphasis on IF!! I smell a storyline. “It didn’t take and. We are expecting ”
I dont want any smoke, there have been cases where a woman got pregnant after a TL and also of women getting pregnant after the man got a vasectomy.

      1. At least 5 in every 1,000 pregnancies occurs after a tubal ligation, and that is the absolute lowest failure rate assessment. The rate is, in fact, as many as 57 per 1,000 within the first year of having the procedure done (and it increases to 96+ per every 1,000 at 10 years out, though that doesn’t apply here of course). These procedures do, absolutely NOT, have as low of failure rates as they are advertised. Literally anything at all can happen and affect them too, more often than not the failure rate is due to the procedure not being done right, scar tissue impeding proper healing/closure, etc.. That information is as accurate as it gets, the failure rates most are used to, were based on estimates, not real evidence, from studies done in the 80’s and 90’s. There was a really great study done in 2014 which helped pave the way for all the studies done since regarding the failure rates (and it also links the type of procedure to the failure rate, ie cut/burn procedures have a better success rate overall, but it’s still not low).

Most people really don’t understand the failure rate of female sterilization, hell I’m not even certain a lot of doctors do. They go with the information someone else gives them. If you’re lucky, the information will be accurate for you. If you’re not, however….you could be in for a world of hurt down the road. It really isn’t as rare as people think.

    1. I thought the same thing! It is rare to get pregnant after getting tubes tied but it happens. And I feel if it were to happen to someone it would be Jenelle.

  11. How many operations or procedures has Jenelle had just this year? I know someone just like Jenelle. She goes to the doctor a lot. She goes for the attention/pain pills. Also like Jenelle her father isn’t in her life.

    1. Well done Janelle, it was the right decision for now. More of the girls should follow in her foot steps, aka Kail Kong and Brianna .

  12. Whoo hoo!!! I was hoping after reading about this yesterday it was true but until The Ashley posts it I tend to take other stories with a grain of salt.
