‘Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club’ Will Reportedly Not Return for a Second Season Because Lindsay Believes “The Show Was Moving in a New Direction”

At least the show lasted longer than Lindsay’s stints in jail…

Lindsay Lohan’s MTV reality show (otherwise known as comeback attempt number 327) won’t be returning for a second season, not due to cancellation, but rather Lindsay’s own decision to end the series—or at least that’s what Lindsay is telling people.

According to The Blast, Lindsay claims that she didn’t want to do another season of Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club because she had an issue with the show “wanting to create drama and invent storylines.” Lindsay also reportedly felt that producers wanted to make the show a family affair by bringing in her mom Dina, and siblings Ali, Michael Jr. and Dakota.

“The show was moving in a new direction,” she told ET in a statement. “Perhaps not enough drama in my life for reality TV formula (as that’s not where I am in my life).”

Lindsay went on in her statement to address rumors that her nightclub in Mykonos was no longer up and running, as reported by Page Six.

“ …And, as for the club, we are simply moving the focus to a brand-new and exciting location in Athens and so a new location and partnership to be announced in [Mykonos]. It’s all positive,” she claimed.

Currently, the website for the Lohan Beach House in Mykonos greets visitors with a message announcing the new “Lohan Seaside” in Athens.

“We are very much looking forward to welcoming you at our new all day summer project ‘Lohan Seaside’ beach bar, restaurant and the best thematic parties,” the page reads, along with the new club’s Athens address and a phone number for reservations.

The Blast reports that Lindsay had problems with MTV not wanting to film at the new Athens location, but with plans to open even more locations, Lindsay is happy she can focus her time on her other business ventures.

Kailah Casillas, former employee/cast member on Lindsay’s show, threw a little shade at her former boss on Twitter upon hearing the news that the show wouldn’t be returning.

As fans of ‘Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club’ may recall, after getting fired by Lindsay on the show, Kailah (who has also appeared on The Challenge) reacted by accusing Lindsay of being a drug user. After the episode aired, Kailah stood by the accusations she made against her former boss, while Lindsay’s reps denied the claims and insisted that firing Kailah was the right call because “her inappropriate, mean girl comments will not be tolerated or taken seriously.”

While the chances of getting to watch Lindsay do an encore performance of that awkward sequined-jumpsuit-clad dance of hers seems bleak, a source close to the show told ET that MTV is trying to rework some things in order to salvage the series. However, MTV has yet to issue an official statement on the future of the show ‘Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club.’

  1. Oh no honey there’s enough drama in YOUR life just not on the show. Not to mention your sidekick was intolerable. 💁🏻‍♀️

  2. Very entertaining to read she response to her club (and her show!) being shut down. I watched 1 or 2 episodes of that show, and never tuned in again. It was plain BORING. People tune in for drama and train wrecks. Come on Lindsay, that’s the only way you’re gonna get ppl interested. Sad but true..

  3. I wanna know……which drugs was she consuming during her development, to acquire this amount of delusion?? Her story is sad. she was on top of the world and now she’s almost to Pluto.
