Raquel’s Fake Name Inspo, Money Matters & Scandoval Clues: 5 Surprising Things We Learned from the Latest Episode of Lala Kent’s Podcast

“Lemme tell ya what was really going on!”

Lala Kent is spilling the behind-the-scenes tea!

Each week, the Vanderpump Rules star provides details on the previous week’s episode on her Give Them Lala podcast. With Scandoval slowly unwrapping on the show, she’s had a lot to say about who knew what and when, plus what’s changed since filming stopped.

Here are five surprising things Lala revealed on her most-recent podcast episode!

1. Bambi Wanted More Money.

“Honestly, you should all be paying me extra for giving you months worth of content for your podcasts!”

Last week’s episode of ‘Vanderpump Rules’ featured yet another beach-day-gone-wrong for the SUR gang. According to Lala, viewers only got a taste of the drama that actually went down that day, with a fight over money between her and Raquel not making it to TV.

“Raquel starts talking about that she didn’t get paid very much for the Bambi-Eyed Bitch palette [we did for my Give Them Lala makeup line],” Lala said.

“I said to her, ‘I paid you $1,000, you worked for two hours, maybe even less, that’s $500 an hour. Show me one person who is making and scoffing at $500 an hour, you sound sick,'” Lala continued. “And then I said, ‘The last time I saw you, bitch, like who are you? The last time I saw you, you were sashaying down a runway at a f**king community college wearing a Miss Malibu sash. I ain’t seen you on Fendi billboards like you threw me a bone, like, ‘Sure, I’ll help you out.”’

“I said, ‘If you were not happy with the deal that I presented to you, you should have had your lawyer call mine, we could have worked it out,'” Lala added.

2. By Fall, People Were Starting to Suspect the Scandoval Was Happening.

“Ummmm…this information would have been helpful MONTHS ago!”

Filming of ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Season 10 originally wrapped in September. By that time, quite a few people had voiced their suspicions that something might have been going on between Raquel and Sandoval. According to Lala, the talk grew even louder later that fall.

“There was a moment on my mom’s birthday this year– so this was November— and I was with [former cast member] Janet [Elizabeth] and I said, ‘You know, I really think something’s going on between Raquel and Sandoval,’ and she was like, ‘It’s so weird you say that because over Thanksgiving we went over there and Ariana [Madix] was really upset in the guest room talking about … “Tom’s out there with Raquel, like he always is, and I don’t know why we have to have people over all the time,”’ and Janet was like, ‘Yeah, they’re out there,’ she used the word ‘frolicking’ in the pool.”

“And if your penis ‘frolics’ into my vagina every once in a while, so be it!”

Lala said she told ‘VP’ producers that she suspected Sandoval and Raquel were having an affair, but she they didn’t believe her.

“I said to our producer, Producer Jerry, ‘Something is going on!’ He’s like, ‘I don’t see it.’ But it makes good TV, talking about this. They’re like, ‘Roll the camera! She’s talking about it right now!’

Lala also stated that she was called “bitter” when she voiced her concerns about the affair, with many attributing her suspicions to her own trust issues stemmed by her ex-fiancé, Randall Emmett, allegedly cheating on her

“No! I’m not bitter and angry! This is called I’m aware now,” she said. “I know that not everyone is good. In fact, I know that most people are not good.

3. The Cast Wasn’t Originally Told Why Production Randomly Started Filming For Season 10 Again in March

“I’m sure they just want to talk about our sandwich shop some more…right? Right…!?”

Though many people in the cast had their suspicions about Raquel and Sandoval, very few knew were told why filming was resumed in March until cameras were ready to roll again.

“I remember that day saying, ‘They’re picking cameras back up.’ Katie [Maloney] texted me, [and asked] ‘Do you know what’s going on? They’re saying I can’t go do Watch What Happens Live, and everyone has to stay in town for the next week-and-a-half. They’re picking cameras back up,’ I was like, ‘We got Season 11 already?!’ … then I was like, ‘Something is wrong, something happened,’ I immediately felt it.

“I said, ‘I’ve got to call Scheana [Shay], something happened.’ She was with Raquel that night for ‘Watch What Happens,’ I called her … first I texted Jeremiah [Smith], our producer, and I said, ‘I know that you… want cameras up before we find out,’ but, again, you guys, this is real life, these are our real friend groups. Like we don’t say, like, ‘Oh, we only talk when cameras are up,’ no, like, ‘You better get a camera to my office right now because I’m going to see what the f**k is going on.’”

Lala said, at first, she was concerned for the health of her friends.

“I was like, ‘Was someone diagnosed with a terminal illness?’ We’ve never picked cameras back up for any f**king reason,” she said. “That’s what I was thinking.”

4. Scheana is currently cringing over the fact that she defended Raquel.

Raise your hand if you would like to take some statements back…

Lala said that Scheana is having a hard time forgiving herself for not seeing what was happening between Raquel and Sandoval, and for defending Raquel.

“I want to deep dive into it because there’s a lot of things that, obviously, people say like, ‘Ooh, that didn’t age well,’ things that Scheana has said, things that a lot of us have said, and I keep reiterating to Scheana— because she’s struggling with, like, ‘How did I not see it?

“…it takes me back to when I was sitting at Lisa Vanderpump’s for the tasting [during] Season 9 and I was going in on Brock [Davies] and I said to Sandoval, ‘How dare you compare this man to my fiancé [Randall Emmett] who’s a quote-unquote stand-up man?’ and I still, to this day, have to plug my ears when they do a flashback and go, ‘la la la la la,’ because I am so mortified.

“So I give Scheana advice like, ‘You should not be mortified, you’re supposed to trust your friends, you’re supposed to defend them in that way.’ But I do understand because I can’t watch one scene with my ex, I can’t watch a scene with me talking about him, it’s all just blech.”

5. Raquel started calling herself ‘Raquel’ instead of her birth name ‘Rachel’ for a weird reason.

“I’m still holding out hope that my career as a ballerina will come to fruition!”

Fans were (sort of) shocked in March when another one of Raquel’s lies were uncovered. A person whose husband went to high school with Raquel posted a photo from their school yearbook, showing that Raquel’s actual first name is “Rachel.”

Most fans weren’t aware that Raquel wasn’t her birth name, while others thought that Raquel changed her name to sound “fancy” when she started on ‘Vanderpump Rules.’ During the podcast episode, Lala revealed that “Rachel” became “Raquel” long before her reality TV career began.

“[She’s] a Rachel, not a Raquel. Again, [she] changed her name when she was a little tiny tot, because she saw a prima ballerina named Raquel and she wanted to be a Raquel,” Lala said.

  1. Lala doesn’t try to convince people her real name is lala. Lala is a nickname. Totally different

  2. Says Lauren who goes by “Lala” lol.. I like her and I think Raquel made a horrible mistake but it’s all so hypocritical with this group.
