“90 Day Fiance” Star Nicole Sherbiny Breaks Silence Following Husband Mahmoud El Sherbiny’s Domestic Violence Arrest

Nicole Sherbiny broke her silence Thursday, more than a week after her husband Mahmoud El Sherbiny was arrested for domestic violence.

As The Ashley told you last week, the 90 Day Fiance star was booked (under a different last name) into Los Angeles’ Northeast Division station last Wednesday at 2:50 a.m. and charged with misdemeanor domestic violence. Numerous media outlets confirmed that the alleged victim of the assault was Mahmoud’s wife, Nicole, although The Ashley can’t confirm this.

According to In Touch Weekly, Nicole broke her silence Thursday by taking to social media to share a post from the @MusawahMovement Instagram page to her Instagram Story. Originally posted to the account in November in recognition of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, the post included the text, “Policy Brief 8; Ending Violence Against Women in Muslim Families.”

“Violence against women can never be justified in the name of Islam,” the post reads.

“Violence against women is a global phenomenon that cuts across all cultures, religions, countries, and contexts,” the caption of the post reads. “Over one in three women experience physical or sexual violence at some point in their lives. Violence against women stems from patriarchal ideas, power imbalances, and sex and gender discrimination.”

Mahmoud is set to appear in court on March 13 in Los Angeles–- four days before the Season 8 premiere of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?, on which he and Nicole will appear. (The couple reportedly did not attend the Season 8 Tell-All episode, which was filmed shortly before Mahmoud’s arrest.)

Mahmoud has not spoken out regarding his arrest.

Fans of “90 Day Fiance” recently got a sneak peek of some of the problems Nicole and Mahmoud faced following Mahmoud’s move from Egypt to America in the ‘Happily Ever After’ trailer.

Nicole and Mahmoud, before all hell (allegedly) broke loose.

“After four tumultuous years of living in Egypt, Mahmoud is moving to the U.S.,” Nicole tells viewers in the clip. “I’m feeling really anxious because this is our last chance to save our marriage.”

The trailer goes on to show the couple arguing before Nicole reveals that Mahmoud has “vanished” with her phone and credit card. Mahmoud is later seen in the clip walking down the street with a suitcase as Nicole screams for him to “get in the f**king car!”
