Oxygen Shares First Look at ‘Deadly Waters’ Starring Captain Lee Rosbach As Host Of the New True Crime Series

“…kind of like the end of my time on ‘Below Deck!'”

Captain Lee Rosbach is back on TV– and this time he is exploring a different kind of water.

The former Below Deck star is hosting the new Oxygen true-crime series Deadly Waters and, this week, the network gave us our first look at the new show.

“I’ve spent over half my life at sea traveling around the world, but it’s not always smoothing sailing,” Captain Lee says in the just-released trailer. “The water can be a very dangerous place. Waves, unrelenting currents, violent storms can come up in a matter of seconds …

“For the first time ever, we’re exposing an even bigger threat than mother nature — people with a deadly agenda.”

Back in January when ‘Deadly Waters’ was first announced, little information was given as to what the show would be about. In the trailer, it’s explained that ‘Deadly Waters’ will follow deaths– some disguised as accidents– that happened in open waters.

‘You can say that again!”

“Two people went out on the boat that morning, but only one came back,” one person says in the trailer.

Guests of the show will talk about some of the horrific things that they’ve seen while boating- such as finding bodies floating in the water, or witnessing a massive fire on a river.

It’s unclear what Captain Lee’s role in the show is, but he will likely give his expert commentary on the nature of the high seas and boating.

‘Deadly Waters’ is quite a departure from Bravo’s ‘Below Deck’ for Captain Lee, who was the head of the series until Season 10, which showcased his ongoing health issues. After dealing with nerve problems that left him unable to walk without a cane, he had to temporarily depart the boat in order to tend to his health.

“The left side of my body, I don’t feel anything. I expected a lot more progress than I’m experiencing and the most frustrating part about it is, I can’t do a g**damn thing about it, and it’s hard,” the Stud of the Sea told the cameras.

Below Deck Mediterranean star Captain Sandy Yawn stepped in until Lee was able to return. Although he finished the season strong, Bravo did not invite him back for Season 11.

Amid talk that he wasn’t coming back to the show, a fan asked him directly on X what his status was.

“No, I wasn’t invited back,” was his reply.

Instead, Captain Kerry Titheradge from Below Deck Down Under is at the helm this season.

Lee has been keeping busy since being let go from ‘Below Deck.’ He hosted Couch Talk With Captain Lee and Kate with ‘Below Deck’ alum Kate Chastain and has a podcast, Salty with Captain Lee

‘Deadly Waters’ premieres June 1 on Oxygen.
