HGTV is giving fans the reunion they didnât ask for never saw coming.
Former spouses Tarek El Moussa and Christina Hall, who hosted HGTVâs Flip or Flop for nine years, are reuniting on-screen for a new series titled The Flip Off.
Joining Tarek and Christina on the new series are their respective current spouses, former Selling Sunset star Heather El Moussa and realtor Josh Hall, People reports.

âThe Flip Offâ will follow along as Christina and Josh compete against Tarek and Heather to see who can âfind, buy, renovate and flip a house for the biggest financial gain.â
âBe on the lookout for the spicy new series thatâll have you saying, âWhat the flip?!ââ states a [cringy] social media announcement from HGTV. The post– which went live on Wednesday— also included a teaser for the upcoming series.
âI never thought Iâd be doing this,â Christina says in the clip, with Tarek adding, âThis is one of the defining moments of my life.â
Prior to Wednesdayâs announcement, Tarek and Christina teased the project on social media with a video making light of the fact that Christina and Heather bear a striking resemblance to one another.
âI guess youâre not the only ones confusedâŠ,â Tarek captioned the video.

As you may remember, Christina and Tarekâ- who share two children together-â divorced in 2018 but continued to film âFlip or Flopâ together until the show ended in 2022.
Following her split from Tarek, Christina married Ant Ansteadâ- with whom she shares son Hudsonâ though the couple ultimately divorced in 2020 after less than two years of marriage. Christina and Josh tied the knot in 2022.

Tarek and Heather became engaged in 2020 after a year of dating. They got married in 2021 and welcomed their son Tristan in early 2023.
After âFlip or Flopâ wrapped, Tarek went on to star in his own HGTV series, Flipping 101 with Tarek El Moussa, and he and Heather currently co-host their own show, The Flipping El Moussas.
Meanwhile, Christina went on to star in HGTVâs Christina on the Coast and Christina in the Countryâ the latter of which features Christina and Josh working on their family farm and expanding their design business in Tennessee.
While some HGTV fans were quick to call the premise for Tarek and Christinaâs new series âcringe,â Tarek and Josh hopped into the comment section Wednesday to confirm that they are fully committed to earning this paycheck the shtick.

âI just wanted to let everyone know that Iâm willing to offer free coaching to Christina and Josh to help them in the flip off!!!â Tarek wrote on the HGTV announcement, with Josh jokingly adding a âTEAM HALLâ comment.
âThe Flip Offâ is slated to air on HGTV in early 2025. Check out the announcement for the new series below.

Unrelated to this article, but a note to The Ashley or any daily readers who have her bookmarked/saved as Favorites: I have you show up in my favorites/frequently visited websites on my iPhone, and thatâs how Iâve always navigated to you, rather than type in the name of the website. When I click on that icon, though, it takes me to the last post you posted before you updated how the site looks/formats.
Just by knowing you generally post something every day or 2, I found to weird that I was still only seeing the posts I had already read. I decided to newly type in the full website address from scratch, and could then see all the newest articles, with the new formatting. Those werenât showing up when I just clicked on your site from “favorites” where my phone shows me icons for sites I often click on.
I donât want you to loose readers and I donât want long-term readers like me to be like âwhy isnât she posting anything??â so I wanted to let you know.
@Amy– thanks for letting me know! It may take a day or so for the old website to “flush out” the old saved website, but within a day or so it should be back to normal! Thanks for hanging in there with me! -The Ashley
