Scheana Shay revealed this week that while she and her fellow Vanderpump Rules cast members– as well as nearly every Bravo fan– were still reeling from the Scandoval affair, she was also coming to terms with the news that her husband, Brock Davies, had engaged in an affair of his own.
In an excerpt from her upcoming memoir My Good Side that was shared with Glamour this week, Scheana recalled the chaotic moments that followed Scandoval– the months-long affair between Tom Sandoval and Rachel Leviss– including the restraining order that Rachel filed against Scheana in March 2023. Scheana explains in her book that after the restraining order was dismissed and the cast had filmed the Season 10 reunion, she assumed her life would “settle down,” though she soon learned that the “scandal was far from done.”
“Each morning I would wake up to a new headline or viral video while attempting to parent an almost two-year-old who had no idea what was going on,” she writes, referring to her and Brock’s daughter, Summer Moon, whom the couple welcomed in April 2021. “I knew I had to stay strong for her, but it was one of the most stressful and uncertain periods of my entire life.”
At this point, Scheana and Brock had been married for more than two years, as the couple had secretly tied the knot in 2021 and went on to have a large wedding in Mexico the following year, which was filmed for ‘Vanderpump Rules.’
Despite their married status, Scheana recalls in her book the “blind items” about Brock and Rachel having an affair that began surfacing online in 2023– rumors she admits she entertained as a possibility at the time, due largely– if not entirely– to Sandoval and Rachel’s ability to keep their affair under wraps for months.
Scheana goes on to reveal in the book that another “blind item” about Brock emerged around this time, which alleged that Brock was dating a woman in San Diego whom he would spend Saturdays with before heading to Los Angeles on Sundays to attend Chargers games with Scheana.
“It also alleged that she had helped him pack for the Australia trip where we made our relationship official, prompting her to cut ties with him,” Scheana writes. “ … when Brock dismissed the accusations and denied that some woman helped him pack, I believed him.”
According to Scheana’s memoir, however, between filming Seasons 10 and 11 of ‘Vanderpump Rules,’ Brock informed her that he needed to talk to her about something important, claiming that it was best if she heard it directly from him.
“My whole body froze, and I remained in a state of paralyzed shock as he confessed that he’d cheated on me two years prior, when we were living in San Diego during the pandemic, while I was pregnant with Summer,” she reveals.
Scheana goes on to explain that Brock– who fathered two children with his ex-wife– admitted to her that, at the time of the affair, he was “scared about being a father again, specifically about whether he even deserved to be, and he chose to deal with it by sleeping with someone else.”
“I use the word ‘chose’ because it was very much a conscious decision,” she continues. “No one twisted his arm or dragged him into bed.”
Scheana recalls having a “deep fury bubbling inside” of her upon hearing Brock’s confession, one which she couldn’t release by screaming due to Summer being asleep.
“ … I stood up and started pacing back and forth, fuming, and feeling like I might throw up,” she explains. “Then, unable to contain my rage, I slapped him and threw a Rubik’s cube in his direction, which he dodged.”
Despite her anger, Scheana says she “wanted details” about Brock’s affair.
“I had to know who the woman was and why he’d so blatantly betrayed me, particularly during such a vulnerable period in my life,” she writes.
Scheana claims that Brock went on to tell her that the woman was someone he had known before he and Scheana met and that he had run into the woman outside of the gym; after reconnecting, the two began a “brief affair.” After coming clean about his past indiscretions, Scheana says that Brock handed her a letter he had written a year after the affair ended, which provided even more details about what had occurred, such as how many times and where he and the woman had slept together.
“ … He also pointed out that it was purely physical, never emotional, and he always used protection. Gee, thanks!” Scheana writes, admitting that after reading the letter, she told Brock to burn it so she’d never have to “set eyes on those words again.”
While Brock has yet to speak on the affair, some ‘Vanderpump Rules’ fans have taken to his latest Instagram post to condemn his past actions. (It’s worth noting that Brock currently has the comments on his Instagram posts limited.)
“Cheaters NEVER change, your wife deserves someone who is loyal and would not cheat on her, especially while pregnant with a child,” one fan commented on Thursday. “Disappointed for your wife and daughter, they deserve better.”
“Nice job cheating on your kid’s mom while she was pregnant,” another wrote. “Great role model for Summer.”
Scheana has also received some fan reactions to the affair news on social media, though the comments are seemingly (and rightfully) much more supportive.
“I’m so sorry that you were cheated on,” one fan wrote on Thursday. “Your anxiety about leaving Summer may have something to do with that. I’m so terribly sorry to hear what you went through. You’re not to blame.”
“I love your bravery in talking about this but Brock has a lot of proving to do to fans and that’s on him,” another commented.
Scheana’s memoir is set to be released July 22 and is currently available for preorder.

I just found out that she decided to call her child summer, when the daughter he abandoned is called Winter.

He didn’t sleep with someone because he didn’t feel he deserved to be a father, he slept with someone because he’s a complete self-serving piece of shit And dove at the first opportunity that threw herself at him. The tone deafness of this. Yikes.
This! And was that while he was doing that Homebody app, I think Scheana funded all that. I hope somehow scheana grows enough to not teach her daughter to be self-centered doormat.
But given her kids name and birthday, and the relation to Brock’s first daughter I’m gonna guess she doesn’t.
For those who don’t watch VPR she chose to have her C-section on his abandoned daughters birthday, they offered to move it up to that day and instead of declining she thought that was a GREAT idea. Then the name.

I agree making excuses. My kids father left me alone in Philly, 8hrs away from my family, after I had a c-section because the reality of him being a father again hit him. I eventually left that dude. I could have died with a newborn.
She wants to be Ariana so badly. I doubt this happened. If it had she would have kept this so call “letter”. Ariana has everything she ever wanted, Broadway, hosting gigs, DWTS.
