Former 90 Day Fiancé star Varya Malina may be facing prison time and/or possible deportation after being arrested this week in Blount County, Tennessee.
Starcasm reports that Varya— who appeared on Season 4 of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days with her (now imprisoned) fiancé, Geoffrey Paschel— was arrested on Wednesday for an outstanding warrant in another county. The former TLC star went on to be transferred to the Knox County Jail, where her charge was listed as “theft of merchandise valued between $1,000 and $2,500”– a Class E felony in the state of Tennessee, for which punishment can include one to six years behind bars, as well as a $3,000 fine.

On Friday, the Instagram account @merrypants shared details obtained from Varya’s arrest warrant, which states that between February 20 and May 12, Varya allegedly went into multiple Lowe’s home improvement stores on eight separate occasions, taking a total of $2,341.62 in merchandise that she did not pay for.
The warrant goes on to state that Varya was identified using surveillance photos, social media posts and video footage taken while she was visiting an incarcerated individual (who happens to be the registered owner of the vehicle she was driving during her alleged crime spree) while wearing the same clothes that she was wearing during one of the thefts.
As fans may remember, Geoffrey was arrested in 2019 for allegedly attacking a girlfriend he had before Varya. In October 2021, Geoffrey was found guilty of aggravated kidnapping, domestic assault, and interference with an emergency call and was later sentenced to 18 years in prison without the chance of parole.

While Geoffrey– whose appeal was denied by a judge in 2023– is not set to be released from prison until August 2038, Varya has continued to stand by his side, even joining Geoffrey’s kids in asking fans for money to help “clear his name” back in 2021.
Varya has continued to live in Tennessee while Geoffrey serves his lengthy prison sentence. According to Starcasm, the Russian-born travel blogger has been able to remain in the United States after obtaining a green card in August 2021 through the Diversity Immigrant Visa Program. While her green card does not expire until 2031, Varya may be at risk of having hers revoked as a result of her recent legal run-in.
Varya’s bond was set at $2,000 and as of Friday, she appeared to be out on bail as she has resumed posting content to social media.
“I learned how HUGE my support system is,” she posted to her Instagram Story on Friday. “Thank you everyone who offered help and was genuinely worried. I LOVE YOU.”
Varya has a hearing scheduled for July 14.
