Hulu has announced a new dating series coming to the streaming platform next month titled Are You My First? that will bring together a group of virgins who are looking for love and potentially, the person they want to lose their virginity to.
(No, we’re not kidding.)
According to The Hollywood Reporter, ‘Are You My First?’ is considered a “reality dating experiment” in which single virgins will navigate “love, lust and losing it.”
“In this groundbreaking new dating experiment, the largest, hottest group of virgins ever assembled search for intimacy, love – and maybe their first – in a tropical paradise designed just for them,” the show’s synopsis reads.
While taking part in this so-called “reality dating experiment,” the single virgins will reportedly be free to explore connections with other singles without judgment. Throughout the series, viewers will watch as the “sexy young singles” embark on romantic dates, revealing challenges and interact with new love interests, all in their quest to find “The One.”
“Who will find that special someone?” the synopsis asks. “And who will go home hot, bothered and heartbroken?”
‘Are You My First?’– not to be confused with Virgins, the reality series that debuted earlier this year on TLC which follows four individuals in their 30s and 40s who, as the name suggests, have never experienced sexual intercourse– will be co-hosted by Bachelor Nation’s Colton Underwood and Kaitlyn Bristowe.
Fans may remember Colton as the first-ever virgin Bachelor back in 2019. The former pro football player went on to come out as gay in 2021 and is now a husband and father.
Meanwhile, Kaitlyn was the Bachelorette in 2015 and went on to return to the franchise years later as a temporary co-host with Tayshia Adams, following longtime host Chris Harrison’s controversial exit. She also hosts her own podcast, Off the Vine.
‘Are You My First?’ is being produced by ITV America– the same producers behind Peacock’s Love Island USA– along with Plimsoll Productions.
The new series begins streaming August 18 on Hulu.
