‘Love Is Blind’ Season 5 Star Stacy Snyder Reveals How Much She Received from Million-Dollar Class Action Lawsuit Filed Against Producers

“Thanks…I guess…”

Stacy Snyder may not have found a husband on Season 5 of Love Is Blind, but the 37-year-old revealed this week that she has finally received some compensation for allegedly being “exploited” by the Netflix reality series.

Stacy took to TikTok this week to reveal to fans how much she received from the million-dollar class action lawsuit filed against show producers, claiming that she was “finally getting paid for the plot line.”

“There’s so much more I could say, but I’m sharing this in hopes that it helps fellow castmates feel seen and heard,” she captioned her post. “I knew reality TV wasn’t going to be conventional – but no one signs up to be exploited, especially not for free.”

“Yes, Izzy, I’m talking about money again…”

Stacy went on reveal a check for $8,287.67– an amount she claimed was more than what she got paid to film all of Season 5, which often required “12- to 20-hour workdays.”

“ … I’m, like, shaking,” Stacy told fans, as reported by Us Weekly. “I don’t know if I’m mad or happy. I’m happy, obviously, [but] it’s more of the justice piece and not the money. It’s just sick that people who have power take advantage of people they know don’t know any better in these situations.”

Stacy went on to mention in her video Season 2 star Jeremy Hartwell– who filed a lawsuit against Netflix and Kinetic Content in 2022 over what he claimed were “inhumane working conditions”  giving him credit for “holding this down.”

According to Us Weekly, Kinetic reached a settlement with Jeremy and other cast members (including Stacy) in December 2024. (The lawsuit filed by Season 2 star Nick Thompson and Season 1’s Danielle Drouin, who came forward in 2023 to share their own experience from the show– including the alleged emotional, mental and physical toll being in the pods had on them– were also seemingly part of this class action suit.)

While Stacy expressed having mixed emotions over the amount she received from the class action lawsuit, she admitted to fans that “it feels f**king good” to get some justice.

“Bring out the gold goblets, it’s time to celebrate!”

Jeremy and the other former cast members involved in the class action lawsuit aren’t the only ‘Love Is Blind’ stars to take legal action against the show.

As The Ashley previously told you, ‘Love Is Blind’ Season 5 cast member Renee Poche slapped Netflix and Delirium TV with a lawsuit in January 2024, claiming that producers forced her to continue dating her match, Carter Wall, even though she wanted out of the relationship.

Renee and Carter of ‘Love Is Blind’ Season 5…

Renee claimed that, unbeknownst to her, Carter was an addict with anger issues who had no job or place to live when she was matched with him on the show. In her lawsuit, she also alleged that the producers knew Carter was unstable and broke, but still allowed him to go on the show and pursue a relationship with her. She even asserted that she didn’t want to film with Carter, but was forced to do so by production.

Despite Renee and Carter matching in the pods, getting engaged and making it all the way to the altar, their story wasn’t shown in Season 5. According to Renee, she and Carter also traveled to Mexico with the other engaged couples from Season 5, which is where she claims to have seen red flags in Carter, such as his violent behavior and alcohol and drug abuse.

  1. These contestants aren’t at war, they should be able to sleep and eat. Also get away from people they are afraid of…. If not just write a bloody script.

  2. Good but I see this both ways.
These are all adults who willingly signed on for a TV show. Good and bad.
The TV show is vile on how they treat the cast. Absolutely vile.
