Kam Williams and Leroy Garrett are officially married!
The Challenge stars revealed Monday that they eloped earlier this month on August 5 in a ceremony attended only by their two children, three-year-old Kingston and one-year-old Aria.
“We have been engaged for a while, and honestly we were just ready to get married already,” Kam told People of her and Leroy’s low-key Detroit nuptials. “Why wait even longer planning a huge, elaborate wedding? We knew an elopement style was for us.”
“I didn’t want to be stressed,” she continued. “At first, we considered Chicago because we love the city and it’s such a fun mini-getaway from Michigan. But with two kids, staying in-state was way easier and less stressful logistically.”
Kam went on to tell the outlet that she “dropped” any wedding plans that “felt stressful,” opting instead to keep their special day “simple” and “easy.”
“ … We kept it super simple: pick a date, choose outfits, book the location,” she said, revealing that she and Leroy tied the knot on the sixth anniversary of when they began dating. “I handled our daughter’s outfit, Lee handled our son’s and that was that, stress-free.”
Kam stated that she was very happy to keep things small and simple.
“I’ve never been the huge, dream-wedding type,” she told the magazine. “I envisioned something stress-free, no heavy planning, simple, and perfectly us. In a few years, I’d love a small, intimate vow renewal with our closest family and friends. But this moment, our elopement, was just for us, and I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.”
While the couple opted to keep their ceremony small, they hired a photographer and videographer to capture the big day to make sure their friends and family “could share in the moment from afar.” After saying “I do,” the pair headed to Candy Bar at The Siren Hotel for photos and later ended the night at Shinola Hotel, where they enjoyed a white vintage wedding cake.
“[Our wedding was] real, fun, loving, perfect … and very us,” Kam said. “It was intimate and personal. There was laughter, happy tears and that warm feeling of knowing you’re exactly where you’re meant to be, just the four of us, making this moment ours.
“Our goal was to have everything complete before the kids’ nap time,” she added.
As fans may remember, Kam– who previously appeared on Are You the One?– met Leroy in 2017 right before the two flew out to compete on The Challenge: Vendettas. They went on to make things official in 2019 and in November 2020, they revealed to fans that they had signed a lease together and were relocating from Las Vegas to Houston, Texas.
In December 2021, Kam and Leroy announced they were expecting their first child together, and at Kam’s May 2022 baby shower they– along with some of their ‘Challenge’ co-stars– revealed that they were engaged to be married.

In August 2023, Kam and Leroy announced they were expecting their second child; they went on to welcome daughter Aria on February 24, 2024– the very same day that fellow ‘Challenge’ stars Jenna Compono and Zach Nichols welcomed their third child, and Sylvia Elsrode and her husband welcomed their new addition.
Last summer, Kam and Leroy relocated their family from Texas to Michigan, while documenting their moving journey with fans on social media.

I love the elopement! Great idea. It’s weird though she is already thinking of a vow renewal ceremony though. You don’t need to renew something unless you break it. I don’t see them doing that.
I totally see them renewing their vows, and for the exact reason Kam mentioned. My husband and I dated for 6 years before we got engaged. We picked a wedding date but due to him almost dying during surgery, we decided not to wait because you never know what can happen. We got married in our living room with just our immediate family and then renewed our vows in front of family and friends 6 years later. Both ceremonies were perfect! The renewal was totally stressful free!!
Congrats Lee and Kam 🎉🥂
My husband and I got married in a courthouse because my grandma was very sick and it was more important to me to have her there than plan an extravagant wedding without her. We always knew we’d do a vow renewal which happened to be 5 years later because of COVID. It was the perfect weekend, all of our friends told us it was the best and most fun “wedding” they have ever been to, and we had so much fun we pan to do it every 5 years. Sometimes, probably most times, it’s about love, not something being broken
Do you consider it a renewal or just a celebration of the years you have been together? Like anniversary celebrations? I’m simply trying to understand not be divisive. In my mind, I made a marriage covenant to my husband 21 years ago. We have never renewed our vows because we have never broken them. We have however celebrated marriage milestones. Is this the same thing?
I guess it’s just semantics lol. I see your point now that you’ve elaborated. We called it a vow renewal, but to each their own
Those babies are insanely adorable!
Congratulations Kam & Leroy!! Best challenge couple by far!
