‘Jersey Shore’ Star Jenni “JWoww” Farley Reveals Why She Still Hasn’t Married Fiancé Zack Clayton After Being Engaged More Than Four Years

“We won’t be fist pumpin’ down the aisle any time soon!”

It’s been over four years since Zack Clayton proposed to Jenni “JWoww” Farley, but the Jersey Shore star says that fans shouldn’t be expecting a wedding any time soon…or possibly ever.

“If it never happens, or if it does happen, it has nothing to do with our love,” she told E! Online this week. “Our love is just there, regardless.”

Zack and Jenni started dating in the spring of 2019 (when Zack was only 24 years old and Jenni was 33, prompting Jenni’s ‘Jersey Shore’ roommates referred to Zack as “24” due to his age.) The relationship started while Jenni was still in the midst of her divorce from her ex-husband Roger Mathews. (Their divorce was finalized in September 2019.) Jenni and Zack got engaged back in February 2021, when he proposed to her on top of the Empire State Building.

While Jenni happily accepted Zack’s proposal, the couple has been reluctant to even begin to plan their nuptials.

“To me, we’re married,” Jenni explained. “He’s my life partner. We’re going to be together forever. I don’t look at marriage as something as significant as it needs to be, because I always say, ‘Don’t fix something that’s not broken.’ We’re just perfect.”

Jenni noted that, because she has been married before and has two children with Roger, tying the knot again isn’t a priority to her.

“When you go into a relationship after marriage, and I have children that’re not with him, and we don’t have joint bank accounts, the marriage perspective is just different,” she said, adding that Zack’s mother— as well as her own best friend Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi— want her and Zack to have a celebration at some point to celebrate their union.

Back in November 2024, Jenni told E! that she believes taking the legal aspects out of the relationship can make things better.

“Removing that paperwork, it’s like you’re just with each other because you just want to be with each other, and there’s nothing getting in the way of that,” she said, adding that actors Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell— who have never married despite being together for over 40 years– are smart not to get legally hitched.

“If you remove the paperwork aspect and you just have love, I feel like it makes it so much easier,” she said.

While Jenni and Zack may not be getting married any time soon, their Jersey Shore Family Vacation castmate, Sammi Giancola is preparing for a wedding to her fiancé Justin May. In a new interview with Too Fab, Jenni made it clear that she has no plans to play a big part in Sammi’s big day, stating that she has “PTSD” from being a bridesmaid at Angelina Pivarnik‘s wedding. (Click here if you need a refresher on that wedding day drama.)

“I’m not going to be part of the wedding!” Jenni said. “I’m just going to be an observer from afar. We’re just a guest.”

(Sammi has stated on the show that she wants to get married at the Park Château Estate & Gardens in East Brunswick, New Jersey— the same location as Angelina’s disastrous 2019 wedding.)

“It’s gonna be a good weekend,” she added.

  1. I totally get what she’s saying, because if I got divorced now I’d feel that way maybe except….

It’s not just about that, it’s also about health insurance, wills and what is legally left to whom. If you have been married at least ten years, even if you divorce and don’t remarry, you can claim your ex spouses social security benefits if their benefits from working are more than you during the marriage. Learned all this from my mom. So yeah, I get it, but not everyone is rich like she is and people do what they need to do in this country unfortunately.

  2. I’ve been engaged since 2020. And we are finally getting married next month. What I don’t understand is why rush it? Enjoy being engaged. Take the time to have all the hard discussions. Took us 5 years but we feel super confident. Things happen and we totally went through the wringer and have been tested tremendously and always chose each other and came back to each other to lean on. You can be engaged and marry same year, only for it to fall apart the following year because finances or the talk about children or religion doesn’t line up. Get to the bottom of everything 👏

    1. Wow you’re right, they do. With as much work as Jwoww has had done I honestly wasn’t sure what SHE looked like.

And Jwoww, why get married now? You’ve already been his sugar mama for 4 years, 3 more and you’d be considered a common law marriage in most states.

      1. Hahaha! That’s exactly what I thought. I was amazed at the resemblance the kids have to her because that isn’t even her face.😱
