Collin Gosselin is Writing a Tell-All Exposing Mom Kate’s Alleged Abuse Which Will Include “Proof” of His Recent Claims Against Her

“Let me know if you want me to autograph a copy for ya, mom.”

*Trigger Warning: This story contains mentions of child abuse.

Former Jon & Kate Plus 8 star Collin Gosselin has revealed he’s in the process of writing a memoir that details the nearly two years he spent in a behavioral institution– where he was sent by his now-estranged mother, Kate Gosselin, as a pre-teen– as well as the alleged abuse he suffered at Kate’s hand.

“I have always wanted to write a book for a long time,” Collin told The Sun. “All the way back to [the] institution, I was thinking about the events of the show and institution. You just think about how the institution was and I remember so many details from it.

“I just remember life experiences in general,” he continued. “Everything from TV to [the] institution to family members … There were always things that I felt were important to be out there in the form of a book.”

Kate, low-key wondering if she can turn her estranged son’s book into a reality TV opportunity for herself. (Probably.)

As The Ashley previously told you, Collin– who is one of Kate and ex-husband Jon Gosselin‘s sextuplets– spoke out last year about the emotional and physical abuse he allegedly suffered at Kate’s hand as a child, as well as his belief that Kate sent him to an institution when he was 12 years old because people had started noticing the alleged abuse that was happening. This abuse, Collin claims, included Kate zip-tying his hands and feet together and locking him in a basement. (Kate, through her attorney, refused to comment on the allegations last year.)

As you know, Collin is estranged from Kate, as well as all of his siblings except his sister Hannah; Jon was awarded custody of Collin and Hannah in 2018, while the other six Gosselin children remained in Kate’s care until the age of 18. Two years before Jon gained custody of Collin (and Hannah), Kate had placed her son in a mental health institution for what she claimed were behavioral issues and the fact that Collin had “special needs”; however, both Collin and Jon have denied for years that Collin has “special needs.”

The 21 year old also revealed this week that, in addition to sharing “life experiences in general,” his tell-all book will include “proof” to backup claims he’s made about his mom regarding her handling of the Gosselin children’s finances, which he hopes his siblings– older twin sisters Mady and Cara, and fellow sextuplets Hannah, Leah, Alexis, Aaden and Joel– will see for themselves.

“I am going to release financial documents,” Collin told the outlet. “I am going to release everything so that they at least have the proof to build their own perspective. I am going to release proof that puts everything there so people can think for themselves.”

In August, Collin claimed on TikTok Live that he was in a possession of court transcripts that show Kate confessing to taking some of the money Collin earned from his years appearing on ‘Jon and Kate Plus 8’ and Kate Plus 8.

“My mom unfortunately admits [in the hearing] to taking money out of my UTMA account,” Collin told his followers.

(An UTMA– or Uniform Transfers to Minors Act account– is a custodial account set up for a minor by an adult that can be used for any purpose– not just education– once the minor reaches the age of maturity. The adult acts as a custodian of the account until the minor becomes an adult.)

Collin went on to claim that Kate took “a very substantial amount” of money from the account that was made for him and his siblings.

“What’s your point?!”

“I literally have transcripts,” he said. “I’m not just saying that. I have court transcripts where she admits to it.”

While Kate recently claimed on TikTok Live that some of her reality TV earnings were used to pay for all of her kids’ college educations, Collin stated that same month that he’s currently working full-time while attending college and is a residential advisor (RA) on campus– the latter of which provides him free room and board, as well as a meal plan.

“I wait tables and I work pretty much full-time … I work hard. I’m paying for my tuition,” he stated.

Collin revealed this week that he’s working with someone on his book who is helping him “construct” his story better. While that story includes some tough moments, he admits that talking about those moments and “putting them on paper” has been “almost therapeutic in a way.”

“It’s nice to talk about these things,” he said. “The more I talk about one thing I remember little details of it … I’ll talk about a time in my life and all these details … will come up. It’s nice in a way, it’s nice to put it all out there.”

Collin has yet to share the title of his book, nor has he revealed when fans can expect for it to be released.

  1. I support Collin 100%. Kate is nothing but a lying pile of hot garbage and I feel her day of reckoning is going to come soon. While I do feel bad for all the kids, I feel especially sorry for Collin because I can’t imagine a child going through such despair (during his institution stay), esp at such a tender and pivotal age.

Write the book young man, I would buy it! Praying you are able to reconcile with your siblings soon.

  2. He’s just as fame hungry as his father. Notice how all his siblings just mind their business and live their lives. If he truly wanted reconciliation with his siblings he would stop going to the press so much.

  3. When some , who have struggled financially get a wibd fall, it changes them. Kate was very obviously addicted to the money from those shows. Only saw a few, one sticks in my mind, it was late in the show and they (minus husband)were all i. New york. Kate was talking to one n of the helpers they took along to manage the kids, she said ” I get my manicures at xxxxxx. If a manicure isnt $300, it not good.” When the money stopped flowing, Kate crashed

  4. I love how The Ashley consistently uses Kate’s “muy confuso” face for these articles, particularly because the face completely gives away that Kate is lying through her teeth.

  5. Isn’t that old news, that Kate “borrowed” money from her kids’ funds?
She claimed the kids in fact still owed her money for their education etc. In which case, she didn’t borrow it so why call it that?

    1. She used the money to buy a lakeside mansion in NC. And that money wasn’t for their schooling. It was their money for their parents selling their childhoods on national television. News flash: children don’t their parents shit for sending them to private school as minors. Those kids grew up in rich areas of Pennsylvania and North Carolina that had perfectly good public schools. Please don’t have kids if you even for one second think they will owe you money for raising them. That’s fucking disgusting.

PS: If you think the kids really owe her. Wouldn’t ALL the kids owe her? Why did she only raid the accounts of the kids who chose to live with their father?

      1. Kate is gotta be in the hall of shame for horrible mothers.

And you are right, parents have a duty to care for the children they bring into the world. Only insane parents would even think that kids owe them back for the cost of raising them.

She only loves that which she can control and use to reflect her image back to herself. Because the only thing people like her love is themselves.

  6. Good for him. He’s allowed to explain his experiences and if Ma Kate doesn’t like it, oh well, we all saw you smacking her husband and calling it a “love tap”. She gives off Nurse Ratchet vibes.
