Just days after The Ashley broke the news that Jenelle Evans was getting close in the car and lunching with her ex-husband David Eason in Las Vegas, the fired Teen Mom 2 star told Us Weekly that they were simply “coparenting” for the sake of their daughter, Ensley.
Jenelle did not address why she was filmed by Ensley letting David drive her car (and rap horribly) during his trip to Vegas. (In one part in the video, it appears that David even reached for Jenelle’s hand as she sat laughing in the front seat next to him.) She did, however, confirm The Ashley’s report that she and David went out to lunch with Ensley (and Jenelle’s son Kaiser) at the Cheesecake Factory as a happy family.
“Did we go out to eat? Yes, we did because Ensley hasn’t seen David in two years.”
(As The Ashley previously reported, David flew to Las Vegas to visit Ensley in the hospital last weekend. Ensley— who had a respiratory infection and/or a bad reaction to medication, according to Jenelle— had not seen David since February 2024, when Jenelle and David split. Jenelle moved with the kids to Las Vegas soon after, while David remained on the couple’s broken-down boat in North Carolina.)
“Things were smooth, and I’m happy we can come together to coparent so well during a scary time like that,” Jenelle told the magazine on Wednesday. “He has since then flown back to North Carolina.”
Anyway, despite Jenelle’s insistence that she and David are just “coparenting,” The Ashley’s sources tell her that things between the two former (?) soulmates are very much “on”— at least for the time being.
“It wasn’t just a drive to dinner. David went to Jenelle’s house in Vegas, and hung out there with her and the kids just like old times,” the source tells The Ashley. “There’s still an active restraining order requiring that David stay away from Jenelle, though.”
How this Vegas rendezvous will affect Jenelle and David’s on-going court case is unknown. However, the “exes” are set to decide child support and custody for Ensley in March.
David also had to scurry home to North Carolina because he’s due in court for his felony criminal case. A jury trial has been scheduled for his felony child abuse and assault case that stems from when he allegedly strangled Jenelle’s eldest son Jace in 2023. To The Ashley’s knowledge, Jenelle and Jace do not have to attend.
Those who have been following along with the Easons’ swampy mess of a marriage know that Jenelle and David were officially granted a divorce in July 2025, nearly a year-and-a-half after Jenelle filed for separation from David. Before that, Jenelle and David endured eight years of marriage, which included plenty of 911 calls, a dead dog scandal, abuse claims, a (sinking) house in the swamp, countless social media fights, a broken boat and plenty of raking.
After splitting from David and moving to Las Vegas, Jenelle filed for— and was granted— a restraining order against David. She went on to claim on social media that she found out “disgusting” secrets about David after he left The Land.
“ … nothing compares to the secrets I found out after we separated,” she wrote online in August 2024, later claiming in another comment that David is not “to be trusted and not one for any child to trust.”
Jenelle went on to accuse her ex(?) in court in November 2024 of having materials related to child sex abuse.
“There’s other concerns I have [about] David,” Jenelle told her court while on the witness stand while sobbing. “I filed a police report recently about some memory cards I found. It was in my house, they were from David Eason’s phone. It was along the lines of sexual exploitation of a minor.”

Jenelle and David have not denied that they are trying to make their relationship work again.

Ok, but where did David stay while he was out there?
Guess Jenelle’s back to being ok with David’s abuse to Jace ,must be ,I mean David is al about to go to trial for strangling Jace,Jenelle’s out breaking bread with her son’s abuser.

Then they make some loved up post about how they are working on their relationship and people are being haters.

Is this why North Carolina has that one year separation rule before granting a divorce? Because these idiots more likely than not end up back together and waste the courts time?
Hopefully the jury finds David guilty and he finally faces some accountability for being an evil turd, but I’m not holding my breath.
As always I just feel so bad for the kids, especially Kaiser. Can you imagine thinking you finally got away from your abuser and than next thing you know your mom invites him back in? You just know They will end up back together. Vomit!!

Jenelle would have to be deemed an unfit parent or voluntarily give up rights to Kaiser. Doris doesnt have parental rights, even though Nathan is a POS.
We all know shes unfit, but she’s taken the CPS parenting classes. Plus, she hasn’t been arrested in years. The issue with Jace was his anger outbursts and constantly running away. Kaiser and Ensley arent doing those things, as far as we know.
You’re right, BUT — Jenelle has publicly accused David of some pretty horrific offenses against children and went so far as to take out a restraining order & testify about his activities in court. Then she turns around and subjects both of her children — one that isn’t even blood related — to David. They went to dinner. He was in the car with them. He was hanging out and probably sleeping at her house with her children there. She can’t have it both ways. Either he’s a PDF or he’s not. She can’t say that he is when she’s mad at him and he’s not when she wants to get laid.
A judge could very well decide that she’s as unsafe as he is and remove both the kids from her custody for failing to protect her minor children. Now I’m not saying that will happen in this case, but I’ve seen it happen before. The only problem with that is this: is Doris physically capable of the daily care that Kaiser needs? He’s way behind in school, has already been a disciplinary problem at school, and has picked up some pretty nasty habits in the care of Jenelle. Can an 80 year old woman really handle the counseling, doctor’s, dentist’s appointments and the meetings with school staff, plus making sure that he’s doing homework & not acting out?
I can’t imagine how sick Doris must feel at the thought of her Grandson potentially having to live again with David the abusive!

Jace was able to get away. He’s older and has more agency to protect himself. Kaiser is still so young and vulnerable. No child should have to learn how to protect themselves emotionally and physically from their parents. I hope Doris is able to help.
