Mykelti Brown appeared on The Sarah Fraser Show this week to discuss the future of Sister Wives— including which of her many siblings might be willing to appear on Season 21, and why some of them have sworn off the show forever.
As fans are aware, very few of the 18 Brown Family children have appeared on the TLC show during its last few seasons. Most of the kids who have appeared are the offspring of Kody Brown and his only remaining wife Robyn, due to the fact that most of the OG wives’ kids no longer want anything to do with the show.
During her interview, Mykelti— who was joined by her husband Tony Padron— talked about her sibling Leon, who hasn’t appeared on the show in many years (except for in flashback clips).
“I don’t think you’ll see Leon do [‘Sister Wives’],” Mykelti said of Leon (who announced in June 2022 that they are transgender and use they/them pronouns.)
“I think that if Leon was going to [film] it would have to be a completely separate show,” Mykelti continued. “There’s just so much, like, negative angst and hard crap around ‘Sister Wives.’ But if there was, like, a spinoff version of it, like, ‘The Brown Kids,’ hindsight or after the fact or whatever, for sure I think Leon would come back. But Leon wouldn’t come back on ‘Sister Wives.'”
Mykelti also spoke about her sister Gwendlyn, whom she says is “very willing” to appear on ‘Sister Wives’ again, but has been too busy in recent years. According to Mykelti, though, Gwendlyn would be an interesting addition to future ‘Sister Wives’ seasons, due to her marriage.
As The Ashley previously reported, Gwendlyn married Bea Queiroz in 2023, in a wedding that was attended by her dad Kody and his wife Robyn, as well as Kody’s other ex-wives. Photos posted by Gwen over the past year or so seemed to indicate that Bea had transitioned, something Mykelti confirmed for the first time publicly on Sarah’s show. (Mykelti confirmed that Bea now goes by “Ben” and uses he/him pronouns. In her 2025 book, Gwen’s mom Christine referred to Gwen’s spouse as “Ben” but did not elaborate as to why.)

“Gwen is married to Ben, and I feel like that would be a really, really cool [to feature on the show], just transition and knowledge and like a ‘how’s life?’ kind of thing. That would be awesome to see,” Mykelti said.
(It is unknown how Kody and Robyn feel about Ben’s transition. Although Gwen had maintained some sort of relationship with them in the past, it is not known if they supported Ben’s transition, given that Kody was reportedly very against Leon’s transition.)
Mykelti went on to say that her sister Madison will likely film for next season, due to the fact that she lives next to her mother Janelle in North Carolina. (As The Ashley previously reported, Mykelti revealed last month that Janelle will be on ‘Sister Wives’ Season 21, despite her hinting that she had quit the show.)
Mykelti stated that she will also make appearances from time to time, possibly along with her sister Ysabel.
No premiere date for ‘Sister Wives’ Season 21 has been announced as of press time.

What’s the point of this show? There are no more sister wives and everybody lives apart
