‘Alaskan Bush People’ Star Rain Brown Expecting First Child Amid Allegations of Drug Use & Ongoing Criminal Case

Alaskan Bush People Parents to-be…

Former Alaskan Bush People star Rain Brown is expecting her first child, less than a year after she and husband Josiah Lorton were arrested and charged with first-degree burglary and amid allegations of drug use.

Rain’s mom, Ami Brown, shared the news of her daughter’s pregnancy on Sunday, posting a photo of sonogram with Rain’s name that read, “BABY’S FIRST PIC!”

“My baby girl, Rain is having a baby!!!” Ami captioned her post. “Grandbaby Number Eleven, Coming Soon!”

As fans of ‘Alaskan Bush People’ star know, Rain– whose full name is Merry Christmas Kathryn Raindrop Brown– is the youngest of Ami and late husband Billy Brown’s seven children.

While Rain has yet to post about her pregnancy, the 22-year-old has had a busy year already. As The Ashley told you last year, Rain and her husband were arrested in April in Okanogan, Washington, for allegedly stealing more than $170,000 in cash, guns, wine and gold coins from one of Josiah’s family members.

Rain and Josiah were charged with first-degree burglary and first-degree malicious mischief, while Rain was also given a criminal trespassing charge. The (literal) partners in (alleged) crime remained behind bars until their April 14 court hearing, during which they plead not guilty to all charges and it was determined that probable cause was found for their cases to move forward.

Rain’s next court hearing is set for March 9.

In addition to her ongoing criminal case, Rain’s pregnancy news comes less than a year after her older brother Noah Brown contacted police to conduct a welfare check on both Rain and Ami, whom Noah claimed were “couch surfing” with Rain’s “aggressive” husband.

In court paperwork filed in April, Noah told police he believed his mom– who was hospitalized in February 2025 and placed in a medically induced coma– was “off her meds” because Rain was “not allowing her” to take them. Noah went on to allege that his mom was drinking a lot and using meth that was “given by [Rain] and Josiah.” He also told police at the time that Rain’s husband was in possession of a gun, which he is allegedly not permitted to own.

Although police attempted to conduct a welfare check, they were reportedly unable to get in touch with Ami to do so. After police notified Noah on April 8 that an attempt had been made to contact his mother, Noah claimed that Rain, “struggles to keep up with taking her medication and thinks that anybody who tries to force her to take it is the devil.”

“Noah continued to explain that Josiah is known to be armed,” the police office wrote in the court documents. “Before concluding with Noah, Noah advised me that his mother and [Rain] refer to Josiah Lorton as the next ‘Messiah,’ which extremely worried Noah.”

Rain went on to deny her brother’s accusations in June, claiming in a TikTok video that Noah was a liar and “a terrible f**king person.”

“I’m absolutely f**king sick, and absolutely f**king tired of people acting like my husband and I are a bunch of meth addicts, that we are thieves and f**king running around lying and all this and that, because of s**t that my brother Noah happens to say,” Rain stated. “He’s a terrible f**king person and he lies about us for God knows what f**king reason.

“I’m so f**king sick and tired of everyone judging me and making accusations against me and acting like I’m some kind of f**king bad person, or my husband is a bad person,” she continued. “We’re not bad people!”

Rain also insisted that Ami was “not doing f**king drugs” either, before claiming that Noah made the allegations against her because she knows something about him that he doesn’t want the public to know.

“If you really want to get down to it, my brother Noah is trying to get me to lose all validity because I hold something over his head that actually f**king matters!” Rain said. “So, yeah, I do have something to say: bye to everybody. And thanks to the ones that are actually supporting us and loving us and being there for us. I really do appreciate you guys. And to the rest of you, f**k you!”

Noah has yet to comment on his sister’s pregnancy news.

  1. I never finished the show but I’m not at all shocked at the state of these people. Ami and Billy simply didn’t want to work. They raised their children homeless and in the “lower 48” they would’ve lost those kids. It was not right how those kids were neglected. They weren’t home steading, that’s totally different than just living on the ground and eating when you can. Then Billy used them as his slaves so he didn’t have to do things. You could tell they were conditioned to believe that the well being of the Ami, Billy, Bird, and Rain fell on their shoulders. Wild and awful family dynamic. Very toxic and abusive. Homesteading is one thing. This was just extreme abuse and neglect of dependents.
