Jenni “JWoww” Farley Claims ‘Jersey Shore Family Vacation’ Cast Wasn’t Told Show Was Ending; Holding Out Hope for New Network Deal

“You’re not getting rid of us THAT easily!”

The family vacation is coming to a close, but MTV allegedly forgot to tell the family, according to Jenni “Jwoww” Farley!

As The Ashley previously reported, MTV announced the ninth and final season of “Jersey Shore Family Vacation” in March, marking the end of a 17-year run for all variations of the Jersey Shore franchise.

While the currently airing season is set to showcase the original cast one last time, Jenni recently revealed that she and her roomies were allegedly not informed that this would be their last season.

“You could have at least sent an anonymous note!”

In a new interview with Skeery Jones for iHeart Radio’s Z100 New York, Jenni asked, “Do you want the tea?” (Of course we do!)

“We didn’t know [the show was ending],” she revealed, stating that the cast had to film three different “endings” for the season.

“So you’re gonna see a [version of the] show that we ended up, in interview, cutting three different ways. We cut it continuing the show, like, not saying a goodbye [but rather a] ‘see you later.’ [We did] an undetermined one, and then a goodbye, which made me sob like a maniac,” she said.

Jenni insisted that, while filming Season 9 of ‘Jersey Shore Family Vacation,’ the cast “had no intention of [it] being a goodbye show or season.”

Basically…

Although she didn’t make a definitive claim, Jenni suggested that the uncertainty of ending the show had to do with the (at the time) pending Warner Bros. merger with Paramount Skydance. MTV– the company responsible for all iterations of ‘Jersey Shore’– is currently owned by Paramount and operated under their Paramount Media Network division.

While the future of the long-running franchise remains unknown at this time, Jenni said the cast has not lost hope that they will find a new home on another network.

“We have faith between Paramount+ or Hulu … it’s not over,” she said.

(For the record, Paramount+ is, of course, owned by Paramount, while Hulu is owned by The Walt Disney Company.)

Jenni reiterated that the cancellation of ‘Jersey Shore Family Vacation’ was not a group decision and claims that she and her co-stars are still working to find a way to keep the family vacation going.

“It’s either that or we crank up the social media influencing and podcasting…take your pick!”

“Driving here, I must have had 180 missed texts, no lie, [from] the group chats,” she said. “Three different group chats: one with the production company, one without [the production company], and [one with] the girls, obviously.

“We all were like, ‘What is happening? What’s the update? What are the ratings? Where are we going? Who does Ronnie [Ortiz-Magro] have to hook up with to make this happen?’” Jenni continued.

“Any takers?!”

Despite the multitude of unknowns, Jenni maintained throughout her Z100 interview that fans have not seen the last of the ‘Jersey Shore’ crew. Some of Jenni’s co-stars made similar statements in a video back in March while reacting to the news that Season 9 would be the “last hurrah for a cultural icon.”

“Final? Who said anything about final?” Pauly D questioned. “We’re just getting started!”

In the same video, the cast assured fans that they have “a lot more messiness” for viewers to look forward to and that even though the network is changing, they are still the same people that fans fell in love with back in 2009.

“I promise you, the story will continue,” Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino told fans. “The comeback is always greater than the setback.”

New episodes of ‘Jersey Shore Family Vacation’ air Thursdays on MTV.

  1. All the haters who stopped watching but clearly still interested enough if you read the article and comment 🙄 😒 any need really to do so?? I love this and if they can keep it going great if not then im sure plenty of social media and plenty of time for catch ups with each other. Ps just cos their 40 with families don’t mean they dont have lives outside of kids and partners….. people do need social lives and time away to recharge and have a bit of fun 🤨 stops us going mad lmao

  2. I absolutely love the show, still. Something must be wrong with me. I get a kick out of drunk Snooki.

  3. They would be better off leaving the show. They all should be focusing on their families and lives outside of the show.

I stopped watching a couple years ago because it got too boring. These are 40 year olds. It’s time to give it at a rest. Maybe a vacation every 3 to 5 years, ok. I’d tune in

  4. No one is interested in watching anymore. Its been an almost 18 year run. Let it die with some dignity.

  5. Sorry but nobody wants to watch you anymore. People wanted to watch you when you were messy and falling down drunk face-first in the sand asking where the beach is …. Y’all have kids now and are whole ass parents lmao. It’s not interesting. They’ve been beating this dead horse for YEARS and quite frankly I’m surprised it lasted this long

    1. Same, I stopped watching during the first season of Family Vacation. Starting again when Sammi returned but quickly got bored of that too. I am beyond shocked this wasn’t cancelled yearsss ago
