Jace Evans is speaking out about his life, just weeks after returning home to his grandma Barbara‘s house to live.
The ‘Teen Mom’ kid— who was sent away to mental health facilities and a troubled teens camp for months by his mother, Jenelle— went Live on Instagram for the first time since his release from a facility earlier this month.
The Ashley broke the news last week that Jace was picked up from the facility he was at by Jenelle’s TikTok friend, Dawson Day, and escorted to Barbara’s house. (After The Ashley exposed that Jenelle didn’t go pick up her son herself, the fired ‘Teen Mom’ star insisted that she couldn’t make the journey due to her “knee problems.”)
Anyway, Jace posted to Instagram Stories last week, but this marks the first time he’s given his supporters a view into his life since returning home. He also discussed what he hopes to do once he turns 18 next year. (Jace turned 17 on August 2— one day after Jenelle sent Dawson to fetch him and deliver him to Barb’s.)
During the Live, Jace gave an update on his grandma Barbara (who, along with his dad Andrew Lewis, has been fighting Jenelle to regain custody of Jace for months.)
“My grandma, she’s doing pretty good…I’m over here just living my life….” he said. “Everyone was happy to have me back home. I’ve been doing my best.”
Jace didn’t address his relationship with Jenelle, but she did manage to put her knee pain aside long enough to log into Jace’s Live, something he acknowledged.
“I see my mom has joined,” Jace said with a smirk. (He did not say anything to her and Jenelle only commented, “Are you cooking? Lol.”
Jace told the 180-or-so people on the Live that he is “doing pretty good” and that he hopes to film some content about his mini bike in the future. He also stated that he does have a relationship with his brother Kaiser and sister Ensley, despite the fact that they live with Jenelle (and her squatting soulmate David Eason.)
“Yes, I do, actually [have a relationship with them],” he said. “I have my little brother’s phone number and my little sister’s phone number. I’ll call them here or there.
“When I’m 18, next year, I’m gonna probably drive up there and see them,” he said.
Jace mentioned that, although he doesn’t currently have a car, he does have a job.
“I considered [living] by myself, honestly, but I’m at my grandma’s because I’ve got a job. I’ve got everything I need to get done,” he said. “I’m about to be done with school. ”
As for his other plans for when he turns 18, Jace said he wants to “go around the world, travel and film content.”
Jace then showed off his man cave that he has set up at Barb’s, where he says he hangs out when he’s not working or with his friends.
“I’ve been getting what I need to get done,” he said.
Earlier in his Live, Jace’s friend Dakota made an appearance. (For those of you who aren’t aware, Dakota is Jace’s lifelong friend. He is the son of a woman who dated Jace’s dad Andrew when Dakota was young. Andrew and Dakota have maintained a very close relationship– with Dakota considering Andrew his father figure for years.)
When Dakota mentioned that he isn’t able to say on Live what he really wants to say, Jace agreed.
“I know. That’s how it be, like that,” he said, adding that he doesn’t care what people say about him.
As The Ashley previously reported, Jenelle has insisted that her allowing Jace to live with Barbara again (despite being very against it previously) has “nothing to do with” the fact that David is living with her. (David is not allowed near Jace due to the pending criminal charges he has, which stem from when Jace claims David attacked him in 2023.)
“Jace wants to be around his friends and is now working at his job again that he once had,” Jenelle told Us Weekly last week. “I’m really happy all parties can come together for my son and finally agree on something.”
“Jace is back at my mom’s at the moment and isn’t coming to live with me because my mother and I have mutually agreed upon his living situation and circumstances,” Jenelle added.
A court date is still set for next month in which Jenelle, Andrew and Barbara are due to discuss Jace’s custody case.

I forgot to say to Jenelle that I know my post is long and my first two points involve believing in and helping Jace which – we know you are not interested in – so skip ahead to point three which is all for you.
1) You go, Jace! The amount of crap you have had to deal with and manage to overcome has been disgusting. The fact that you are holding down a job – without a car to get to it – and that you have plans for your future (again, after everything that you have been through) is beyond impressive. I hope that you are proud of yourself because you definitely should be! I do not even know you and I am incredibly proud of you and I know that I am not the only who feels this way. (I also agree that you should write a book. Your “mother” has only kept you in her life to profit off you so it’s about time that you did the same to her).
2) Someone brought up the idea of setting up a GoFundMe account to buy Jace a car and I think that this is a fantastic idea. The kid deserves something good and helpful to happen to him after everything that he had been through and Barbara should not be expected to get one for him given her age, the amount of money that she needs and is not getting reimbursed for to raise Jace, and the amount of money she is having to spend on legal fees to try to do what is in the best interest of Jace. I have spent the last year paying *two* lawyers to get something done (that shouldn’t even require a lawyer) and I can speak from personal experience when I say that they are NOT cheap. I would be more than happy to both set one up and run it for him if I am given the information that I need to do so. On a side note, I hope that this shows Jace that there are perfect strangers out there who want the best for him and that knowing this helps him understand that people believe in him and that he should believe in himself because we wouldn’t feel this way if we didn’t see something in him and see the potential that he has to do great things. I, for one, have never offered to help someone that I have never even met this way so that says a lot about the fact that I see something great in you that deserves this kind of help, especially all that you have had to overcome. Now, my next point is for Jenelle.
3) Jenelle, once again you have managed to show your poor parenting skills…I mean sheer and utter cruelty. You have had ZERO “knee problems” during the time that you have been taking Jace from one facility to another to try to hide him from people who actually care about him, but when it comes to getting him back to a home where someone actually does care about him you suddenly have “knee problems” and cant do it. When I went to Europe with my husband’s elderly parents, they called the airports we would be at and arranged to have a person with a wheelchair to meet them at the door and take them throughout the entire airport while that sat in the wheelchair. If you actually gave a flying f*&k about your son and actually had real “knee problems” you would have tried to see if something like this could be done for you. With that said, making two phone calls to be there for and help your child is something that we all know you flat-out refuse to do because ANYTHING that helps your child is out of the question. Like I have said before, all people need to do to find the true definition of “evil” is to open a dictionary and they will see a picture of your face. No description of the meaning of the word. Just a picture of you and there will have never been a better description of the word. I am confident that this will be all people need to understand the true meaning of evil and, believe me, I am being kind when I say all this to a demon like you.
Is there any way that Jace can block Jenelle from his live? Since it’s his, he should be able to keep people off of it shouldn’t he? Anyone???? I have no idea how a “live” works.
Didn’t Jenelle claim that Jace doesn’t have his license or a car insinuating it was because he was on probation or something like that?

“Filming content” just means “filming things”. Plenty of people make money on YouTube and TikTok doing so. Nothing wrong with it.
His entire life – starting in utero – has been filmed for “content” and entertainment.
Why bash the kid for doing something for himself for once? We should encourage him to travel and explore. Becoming a YouTuber or TikToker isn’t illegal or immoral. He’s already doing so much better than his own parents.
Do the kids get paid for all the years they appeared on TM. If yes,when do they get access to it?
@Gin— yes they are paid if they appeared in any episode. However, they were paid when it aired and, depending on the state they are were in at the time, the laws vary as to if the parent had to save any of it– or how much. But they were all paid. -The Ashley

I can only imagine the panic she’ll have next year when he’s 18 and she has zero control over what he says about her.
Janelle is honestly just a deplorable foul bitch- going on his live… likely to intimidate him from saying anything… SMH. Who does that? Especially as a mother? Especially of a child that was put away for mental health reasons? She is seriously disgusting and pathetic. I hope he unleashes everything about her very soon!

Im rooting for this kid so hard. People can and do overcome adverse childhoods, not without some reminders but it can be done.
Im glad he’s got his grandmom for stability, and that he’s working. I know i have always done better, and felt better about myself, when i was working. I know nothing about influencing, but hes had to deal with his childhood filmed, so i dont blame him for trying to turn that into an opportunity.
I hope he knows his mother NOTHING for putting him on tv, if she tries to claim credit for anything other than being a menace.
Jace is with Barbara because they mutually decided on his living arrangement? No. Jace is with Barbara because Jenelle is living with David and there’s a court order keeping him away from Jace.
Write the book Jace… there’s your money to travel the world and film the content.
I’m literally streaming teen mom 2 episodes and it’s very scary to see how messed up and controlling David was and how Janelle just went along with it.. these women who allow their partner to abuse their kids and look the other way…. Janelle is a perfect example of those types of women. I guarantee you that she would not do the right thing in those cases of abuse to her kids and we all know that for a fact due to David’s charges. She chooses men over her kids, trashy females do that

So glad to hear he’s back home and away from Jenelle, finishing school and working.
If he doesn’t have a passport already, he should apply for one with Barb, and check out programs like Workaway and Worldpackers, which sponsor visas for young adults and have them do work-for-stays. That way he can travel and film. Plenty of young adults do it and love it!

I’m proud of Jace. He has shown more maturity and insight than a lot of kids his age, and with the hell he’s been through. I really hope he continues to do well & take care of himself.
