Jenelle Evans is admitting that her son Jace is once again back to living with her mom Barbara and that The Ashley was correct when she reported that the fired ‘Teen Mom’ star sent her random TikTok friend, Dawson Day, to go fetch Jace and deliver him to Barb’s instead of going herself.
In an interview with Us Weekly on Thursday, Jenelle (attempted) to explain her actions (or lack thereof) when it comes to Jace. Although it is a legal fact that Jenelle couldn’t bring Jace to her home while her reinstated soulmate, David Eason, is shacking up there, Jenelle insists that has absolutely, positively nothing to do with her decision to let Jace live with Barb.
“This has nothing to do with David at all,” she told the magazine. “Jace wants to be around his friends and is now working at his job again that he once had. I’m really happy all parties can come together for my son and finally agree on something.”
(The Ashley still stands by her story that Jenelle was in a pickle about where to put Jace after he was released, which is why she finally agreed to let him live with Barbara again– despite the long court battle they’ve had this year.)
“Jace is back at my mom’s at the moment and isn’t coming to live with me because my mother and I have mutually agreed upon his living situation and circumstances,” Jenelle insisted.
During the interview, Jenelle also (attempted) to explain why she sent a random friend to pick up Jace instead of going herself to pick him up. (As The Ashley reported, Dawson was seen escorting Jace on August 1 through the Las Vegas airport, and Jenelle was not present.)
According to Jenelle, she was simply too wounded to pick up her son.
“Dawson had to pick up Jace for me because I have knee problems, had surgery and now am diagnosed with CRPS,” Jenelle said. “I couldn’t physically travel and still can’t.”
Despite Jace currently residing at Casa de Barb, the dueling mother/daughter duo are still scheduled to go to court on September 9 (along with Jace’s dad Andrew Lewis) to hash out the custody situation.
