Jenelle Evans is asking fans to “have grace” as she battles yet another mysterious health issue.
The former ‘Teen Mom 2’ star took to social media on Monday to give fans an update on her seemingly growing list of ailments after vague-posting from the hospital over the holiday weekend. Jenelle told her followers that she is now dealing with multiple cysts on her spine that she fears will eventually make her “go paralyzed.”
She also spoke about how her health issues have impacted her life— and her summer.
Jenelle kicked off her video by reminding everyone that her latest health crisis began in April after she injured herself by tripping over a step inside a bar while wearing sunglasses indoors (as you do). Shortly after moving to Florida, Jenelle underwent knee surgery to repair her bar-induced injury and was then diagnosed with complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS).
Jenelle claimed that while visiting a pain management clinic two weeks ago, she received a steroid shot in her back, which allegedly spawned a whole new series of issues, leading her to make a trip to the hospital over the weekend. While in the ER, Jenelle said she received an MRI on her spine. She then referenced a cyst that doctors allegedly found on her spine back in 2022, which she claims is “filled with [cerebral spinal fluid].”
“ … basically, if it gets too big, I can go paralyzed,” Jenelle said, noting that doctors told her at the time to “keep an eye on it.”
While in the hospital, Jenelle said that doctors discovered that the cyst on her spine has gotten bigger and that there is now a second cyst next to her spinal cord.
“ … I’m guessing my doctor’s going to probably refer me to a neurologist and a neurosurgeon … ,” she said, adding that the expansion of her spinal cyst could have been caused by the incident in April, noting that she still cannot walk at this point.
“ … I think all of this is neurological now,” Jenelle said, adding that she now has a psychotherapist due to the impact this series of issues has had on her mental health– and more importantly, her summer. (She didn’t mention the impact her injury has had on her kids, Ensley and Kaiser.)
“I am literally watching everyone’s lives go past and I am watching everybody having a great summer, great holidays, Labor Day weekend, and I am stuck in the house,” she said. “And if I try to leave, I am in too much pain.”
Later in the video, Jenelle admitted that her doctor has encouraged her to get out in the pool to move around, though she said she’s unable to do so because the water hurts her skin due to her CRPS.
“ … So at this point, I really, really, I don’t know,” she said. “I want advice. There’s only so much TikTok and Netflix I can watch. There’s only so much I can do but like, go outside and come back in and it’s really getting to me.”
Jenelle, who recently splurged on a used Tesla, reminded followers that despite having a vehicle with self-driving capability, she still has to use crutches to walk when or if she does go somewhere, and that using said crutches how now become painful due to her back.
“This is probably the hardest thing I’ve ever been through in my life, cause I always get better and I’m just not,” she concluded.
In the comment section of her post to Facebook, Jenelle denied that her CRPS was caused by the multiple cosmetic “Mommy Makeover” surgeries she underwent less than a year ago.
“I didn’t have CRPS until after my tummy tuck,” Jenelle told one person. “Had my surgery in 12/2025 and healed fine. So weird.”
She also claimed that the tests done while she was in the hospital this weekend indicated that her “bone marrow looks weird too.”
Over the weekend, Jenelle posted to Instagram Stories that she missed having a soulmate someone there to with her.
“Lower back MRI again,” she wrote. “Wish I had support here with me, ngl.”
“When it rains it pours,” she added. “I’m in so much spine and lower back pain I can’t take it anymore.”
In the comment section of her video, she told one person that she is in Florida solo because she, “had to move away from everyone…bad timing.”
As The Ashley previously told you, Jenelle did have support up until last month— via her ex-husband-turned-reinstated-soulmate David Eason. However, Jenelle dumped David and sent him back to North Carolina after she tired of his tantrums and demands to buy him things. Jenelle is also estranged from her siblings and semi-estranged from her mom Barbara, who is currently caring for Jenelle’s eldest son Jace in North Carolina.

Here’s the crazy thing. She could very well be telling the truth now, but no one is going to believe her because she’s cried wolf so many times. I do hope she’s full of it because as someone living with chronic pain, I wouldn’t wish this on anyone. Thankfully it probably isn’t true. Again, or maybe it is but no one will ever believe her.
I forgot to say that maybe if Jenelle wasn’t so busy tripping over barstools trying to meet her next sucker…I mean babysitter…I mean, boyfriend, then maybe you she wouldn’t have so many (fake) medical problems.

I would give this miserable wretch some grace if she had ever shown compassion or cared about another person, congratulated someone on an accomplishment, shown love to her kids or been a decent human, but she never has. She has no redeeming qualities and only cares about herself and her imaginary illnesses. Has she forgotten that back in early 2022 she was whining about TWO cysts in her spine and allegedly 2 tumors? She was even splashing MRI images on her social media. This is nothing new & a 4 cm cyst is less than 1/4 of an inch. It’s insignificant and a nothing-burger. I don’t understand why she wants to be crippled so desperately? I don’t believe she’s ill or in pain. I believe she’s desperate for a man and in dire need of intense mental health treatment.

This. I have POTS Syndrome and hEDS that put me at a higher risk of stroke. Before I get an MRI here in Arkansas I have to get three consults and admitted to the hospital. Unless they think I’m actively having a stroke it has to go through doctors and my insurance company. She’s such a liar.
Has anyone told this psychotherapist that they have struck GOLD if they want to write a book about narcissistic behavior?
At this point I’m just glad she’s doing this to herself and not her kids. She’s ruined their life enough already without making them ill
