Collin Gosselin is responding to comments his sister Hannah made on TikTok on Thursday, revealing that she no longer has a relationship with him, despite them once being close.
During an appearance on ‘The View’ on Thursday, Collin addressed Hannah’s statement, revealing that he believes his sister is “caught in the middle” and being manipulated by their mom, Kate. Collin also stated that he believes Kate may be using money and/or access to their other siblings as leverage to make Hannah turn against Collin.
“All family are very complicated, and that statement sounded like a lot of the words of my mother, especially the last part,” Collin said.
As The Ashley previously told you, Hannah broke her silence about the release of Collin’s tell-all book, In The Shadow of Eight, which reveals that abuse Collin says he suffered at the hands of Kate as a child. As of press time, none of the other Gosselin kids have spoken about the book publicly.
Hannah— who had been being peppered with questions about Collin on her social media accounts— spoke up to reveal that doesn’t speak to Collin and declared that she would not be commenting on his claims about their childhood.
“I’ve decided to take a step back from the situation going on, considering I haven’t lived with my dad in over a year and haven’t spoke to Collin in close to a year,” Hannah wrote. “Having said that, I have had a relationship with my mom and other siblings for quite a few years now. And that’s the only thing I’m clearing up. Beyond this I will not be commenting on Collin’s behavior growing up or my experiences growing up with him.”
Collin addressed all of Hannah’s claims, disputing that they haven’t spoken in a year.
“Families are complicated. I’ve seen Hannah many times in the past year,” he said, adding that he has photos of them together.
Collin— who lived with Hannah at their dad Jon‘s home since they were teens— expressed sorrow that Hannah has been put in a situation where she seemingly has to choose between Kate and her six siblings, or him and Jon.
“What I do believe has happened is that Hannah’s caught in the middle, and nobody deserves that,” he said. “I know what it feels like. You have to fight to have a relationship with your siblings. I don’t have one with my siblings, and I know how much that hurts.”

Collin also pointed his finger at his estranged mom Kate, whom he believes is manipulating Hannah into “choosing” her side by holding things she wants over her head.
“Not only is she caught in the middle, but I do believe my mom is either leveraging finances or Hannah’s relationship with our siblings over Hannah,” he said.
Collin also brought up the upcoming Gosselin Family Netflix documentary that he, Jon and Hannah all participated in. According to Collin, Hannah may be worried about some of the things she spoke out about in the documentary, which was just announced on Wednesday. He stated that Hannah will share about Kate’s treatment of her in the documentary as well.
“Hannah opened up about a lot of truths, not only to things that my mom did to me, and corroborated those things, but she opened up about things that she experienced at the hands of my mother,” he said. “So now, I believe that she is trying to do pre-damage control, unfortunately, because my mom has placed that guilt on her.”
Despite the fact that Hannah has seemingly turned on him, Collin said he still feels bad for his sister.

“It’s not Hannah’s fault,” he said. “She should be able to have a relationship with her father, with her mother, with all of her siblings, everybody should have that.
“It’s not her fault, but I do put the blame on my mother, because she’s leveraging that over Hannah,” he added.
As The Ashley previously told you, Kate has not released any formal statement regarding the allegations Collin made in his book about her. However, earlier this month, she did respond to some comments on TikTok in which she made it clear that she believes Collin was (and still is) mentally ill. She also wrote that she only put Collin in a residential facility at age 11 because it was what the doctor stated was needed.
“I had nothing to do with it, except for consent because it was medically necessary!” she wrote in one comment on TikTok.
She also told the fan that “rational, logical [people] or anyone who has dealt with mental illness understands what’s going on here.”
(Kate has always denied abusing Collin.)
As of press time, Hannah has not responded what Collin said on ‘The View’ on Thursday.

Jon and his new wife got married in 2025. Hannah and Collin are literally there and posing for a picture so clearly Hannah has had contact in the last year.
That statement reads word for word like Kate, especially with her use of the word “spoke” instead of “spoken.” Kate has mixed up those words more than once. If you put “Hannah’s” statement next to one of Kate’s, they look like they were written by the same person, with the same speech patterns. They don’t read like other things Hannah has posted before.
This was the English teacher in me deep-diving. lol This is how I’ve caught a student doing homework for another student before. Everyone has their own unique way of speaking and writing.
