Hannah Gosselin is finally speaking out on the status of her relationship with her brother Collin.
Like her six other siblings, Hannah has publicly remained silent regarding the release of Collin’s tell-all book, In The Shadow of Eight, earlier this month. This silence has caused the comment sections of Hannah’s social media posts to become flooded with questions from fans wondering if she is still close to Collin, prompting her to post a message to her TikTok Stories on Wednesday.
As ‘Kate Plus 8’ fans are aware, Hannah is the only one of her siblings who has had a relationship with Collin since he was rescued by their dad Jon from the live-in facility their mom Kate placed him in at age 11. By the time Jon gained full custody of Collin, he already had custody of Hannah, who had chosen to live with him instead of Kate as a teen. The other six siblings remained under Kate’s care until they were 18.
Hannah informed her curious followers that she no longer speaks to Collin and hasn’t for almost a year. (Earlier this month, eagle-eyed followers pointed out on social media that Hannah was no longer following Collin or Jon on Instagram, but that she does follow Kate and many of her other siblings.)
“I’ve decided to take a step back from the situation going on, considering I haven’t lived with my dad in over a year and haven’t spoke to Collin in close to a year,” Hannah wrote. “Having said that, I have had a relationship with my mom and other siblings for quite a few years now.
“And that’s the only thing I’m clearing up.”
Hannah went on to say that she won’t be addressing things Collin spoke about in his book, including Kate’s alleged abuse of him or Kate’s continued insistence that Collin suffers from mental illness(es).
“Beyond this I will not be commenting on Collin’s behavior growing up or my experiences growing up with him,” Hannah wrote.
Hannah did not elaborate on why she no longer speaks to Collin. The last time they were seen publicly together was at Jon’s wedding to Stephanie Lebo in November 2025.)
It is unknown if Hannah currently has a relationship with her dad.

The rest of the Gosselin kids— Mady, Cara, Alexis, Leah, Aaden and Joel– have yet to speak out about the claims made in Collin’s book. They have also not revealed why they do not speak to Collin.
Collin has made it clear that he hopes to someday reconcile with his siblings. At the end of his book, he stated that he is still very close to Hannah. (Things have obviously changed since Collin wrote this, though.) He also sent a message to his brothers and sisters at the end of his book.
“…I sincerely love all my siblings,” Collin wrote. “If any of them ever read this, I hope they know this. To Mady, Cara, Alexis, Aaden, Leah and Joel: No matter what’s happened or what was said, no matter how things look from the outside— I love you. I always have and always will.”
Collin and Jon have not yet commented on Hannah’s statement. Stay tuned…

tbh even if i don’t agree with collin’s siblings still having relationships with that witch kate, i will never judge them or be harsh towards them for it, it may be different for everyone else’s situation but at the end of the day that’s their mom and they’re always going to feel some type of way about her regardless what she’s done to them and they’re also probably not ready to break away from her just yet as we could clearly tell something is still going on during that interview with kate and two of the girls
