“I hope this baby likes rodeo-ing!”

Teen Mom 3 star Mackenzie McKee is about to give birth to her third child!

The reality TV starlet, who, by the way, had one of the biggest baby bumps that The Ashley has ever seen, is about to have a C-section. Her mother, Angie Douthit, asked fans on Facebook to pray for her daughter.

“Prayer alert: Mackenzie is having a c section n a few minutes. She is type 1 diabetic and the babies heart rate is high,” Angie wrote.

The baby is a boy who Mackenzie and her husband Josh plan to name Broncs. Mackenzie has stated that this will be her last child.

The former ‘Teen Mom 3’ star, who has struggled to get her Type 1 diabetes under control for years, has stated that it is very dangerous for her to be pregnant. Her condition has caused both of her other babies– son Gannon and daughter Jaxie– to be very large at birth.

According to Angie, Mackenzie’s baby already weighs over 9 pounds, according to her ultrasound, and will have to stay in the NICU for a while after his birth.

“[Mackenzie] is very nervous and scared. Please pray,” Angie wrote.

UPDATE! Baby Broncs has arrived. According to a Facebook post written by Mackenzie’s mother, he weighed in at 10 pounds, 1 ounce at birth!

“Baby is in NICU with a navel IV and a tube for breathing. He’ll be there for a few days,” she wrote. “Please keep praying.”

  1. Um, everyone needs to click the link in the article to see her giant baby bump. Seriously – just do it. W.T.F.

    1. The baby doesn’t appear to be doing that well. MacKenzie’s mother posted an update that he is on oxygen, has a navel IV to regulate his blood sugar, and is on meds for high heart rate and blood pressure – all of which are complications from his mother having high blood sugars during pregnancy. This is NOT a good start to his life, and could have been prevented! MacKenzie has already failed her child 🙁

      1. I’m type 1 diabetic myself and i have to inform you that it isn’t always preventable at all. Pregnant diabetics often go through ‘insulin resistant’ periods where your crazy hormones make it damn near IMPOSSIBLE to control your blood sugar. Also, It isn’t just what you eat, there are loadsss of different factors that alter your blood sugar like the weather and stress Things you can’t control.

        1. In this case, it was preventable. This chick *bragged* about not taking better care of her diabetes and herself. She thought it was hilarious when she’d pass out because she “forgot to eat”. She never monitored her diabetes properly, even as a teen her family had to monitor everything for her. She’s an adult, and a mother. She is perfectly capable of taking better care of herself, but doesn’t want to. She never should have had either of her two youngest children. She put them both at massive risk, and now her newborn infant is in some serious health crisis that was absolutely caused by her not managing her diabetes even remotely. Everything Broncs has, is a direct result of her inability to take care of herself…everything. She could have killed him!

          1. I don’t know if you read my reply properly but like I said. It can be IMPOSSIBLE to control. No matter what you do, there are times when you can never get your blood sugar right. All the insulin in the world will not help you if you are experiencing Insulin RESISTANCE.
I agree that forgetting to eat is silly but controlling her blood sugars can be totally out of her control.
And in all fairness, the issues her baby has are not exclusive to diabetes. Ask her what her HBA1C results were throughout pregnancy before you blame her diabetes.

I’m diabetic. I know. I experience this every day.

          2. Yes I read your reply. Of course there are times when diabetes, much like many other medical issues, can seem, or even be, impossible to control. Unfortunately for your opinion, this isn’t one of those cases. This dimwit wasn’t experiencing resistance of any sort, except her own resistance to acting like a normal human being…a normal mother, would and taking care of herself.
I didn’t say the issues the baby has are exclusive to diabetics. I said, in his case, they are a direct result of her inability to take care of herself properly. She doesn’t even TRY to manage her diabetes, she *never has.
I’m not a complete idiot, I understand diabetes far more than you seem to believe everyone else understands it.
She shouldn’t have even ever had her first kid, much less get pregnant multiple times afterwards, and give birth to two more children. She’s not fit to parent when she;s not even fit to take care of herself(in ANY way).
Your use of the word silly just shows exactly how much you don’t pay attention when you read things. This is above and beyond silly, it is downright neglectful and I would personally even call it abuse to put your own child through this kind of hell KNOWING that it is a huge possibility..and now a reality. Her son is sick, because of her. She never took her insulin, she never checked her sugars, she *refused* to eat(no that’s not silly, it’s asinine, and abusive to the kid you’re carrying), she refused to avoid foods that caused her issues during the times she did eat, she didn’t go tot he doctors when she should have. She flat out doesn’t give two shits about anyone, including herself.
She left one OB because he was “mean” to her when he, sternly, told her she needed to do better, unless she wanted to lose this child too.
You’re not the only diabetic in the world, and odds are, you’re not a moron…but she is. I’m a lifetime diabetic myself, and I would never, in a million years do even half of the things this brainless moron does. I would not take that risk with my own health, much less the health of my own child.
You do understand her son could have died, and despite them saying “it’s not serious”, it actually is..very serious, right?

  2. I’m a type one diabetic, and in the uk, they don’t let you go past 38 weeks usually! I had my now 11 year old at 30 weeks, weighing only 2lb, but this wasn’t due to my diabetes. She does seen very irresponsible with her monitoring, but I don’t know if that was some kind of rebellion against her condition which I know can happen. Glad she has had a healthy baby though

    1. Rebelling and not making diabetes control a priority is natural for teen and early 20’s, but when she became a parent she needed to grow up and take care of herself, which in turn takes care of her babies.

      1. Totally agree. When I watch old episodes she doesn’t seem to have grown up at all. She could have been a role model for young diabetic mums, instead she is kind if giving them a bad name! X

  3. So I clicked on the link about her huge baby bump and what. the. heck. did. I. just. watch.

  4. I’m glad he is here and safe. But, since obviously Mackenzie isn’t lacking the knowledge and intelligence to realize this on her own…. Somebody needs to talk to her and Josh about how lucky they are to have three healthy children and that Mac has pulled through these pregnancies alive and well-ish. Obviously the two miscarriages weren’t a wake up call. Someday I truly fear we will find out through something tragic that this girl has a serious case of munchausens that everybody ignored.

  5. I’m glad she had her tubes tied (at least I hope she went through with it after she said she would). I know the pain of having a baby in the NICU far too well (mine were there for 2 months) so hopefully he won’t need surgery and can go home all.

  6. Maybe her mom should pray she gets fixed and has no more babies, they are such a idiotic family all irresponsible as the next

She’s n longer on teen mom her show was cancelled so her and her 5th pregnancy/ 3rd baby are irrelevant go away.
Teach your stupid daughter to be a grown up and get off her ASS and get an education

    1. SO irresponsible! and she’s just gonna go out and do it again. I’m so glad teen mom 3 got cancelled. This chicks an AWFUL role model, and that’s saying something….none of the girls in the franchise are the greatest role models, but her, Jenelle and Farrah are just about the worst.

  7. Jenelle's love of her life, wait no fiancé, wait no babydaddy, wait no ex, wait no guy she calls the cops on, wait no enemy! says:

She is being really irresponsible. She needs to stop having anchor babies I really hope she is done after this one. She is a severe diabetic and that’s dangerous for her and the child. I have diabetes in my family so I know what it can do. She is just way too thin to be on insulin. Which mean she probably skips her shots to loose weight. Also too there was a girl on 16 and pregnant I don’t remember her name and she had one kid and said no more based on her health due to her diabeties. But this girl without any real job living with her cash strapped parents, keeps popping them out premature and all three of them end up in the NICU with breathing problems. Plus c-sections too where the cut will take much longer than normal to heal. I hope she stops her own sake and sake of her family.

      1. Jenelle's love of her life, wait no fiancé, wait no babydaddy, wait no ex, wait no guy she calls the cops on, wait no enemy! says:

Ok sorry for not being politically correct.

      2. The sarcasm didn’t transfer well, apparently. Yes, there needs be more [any?] planning with the girls.
And can we all knock of the straw man of ‘politically correct’?
Nickel to anyone who can give a definition without opening a new browser window.

      3. How is defining the difference between Anchor and Trap babies being “politically correct”? It’s like defining the difference between a CHERRY tomato & a GRAPE tomato… there’s a difference. You’re still spot on with everything else, Jenelle’s love of her life, don’t think Atomic City was meaning any harm lol.

  8. I don’t know much about pregnancy and diabetes,is it healthy to let the baby get that large (she’s so short/tiny)even if your not quite 40 wks??

  9. So now is her uterus gonna burst?

Or will there be a 4th miracle baby????

  10. I know how scary it is to have a baby in the NiCU so I wish her and the baby well. Although is 9 lbs that big? I don’t have diabetes and my baby was 9 lbs at birth.

    1. I don’t. My son was born at 34 weeks, he weighed 8lbs 4oz.

9 and 10 lbs are not uncommon for non-diabetic Moms.

      1. Exactly what I was thinking, Leah’s Clean Car. People are just trolling for “fun” or really are that hateful.

  11. Hello, congrats to Mackenzie and her husband josh on there new bundle of joy Broncs very cute name I’m also a type 1 diabetic I do not have kids my doctor said I could but it seems like my husband doesn’t want any she said I would if I had a child it would be possibly huge and I would have to have a c section as well. I will be praying for there baby Broncs and Mackenzie as well the whole family.????????

  12. Plenty of women with type 1 diabetes have had healthy and safe pregnancies (as a 27-year diabetic, I personally know several). It takes work and dedication to keep (and in MacKenzie’s case, get into in the first place) good control but it is definitely possible. She’s just irresponsible, lazy, and/or stupid and is risking both her and her child’s health by getting pregnant and not taking care of her diabetes.

  13. Big baby!!! Id hate to have to breastfeed my baby if he was that big. We would never sleep.

  14. While I understand the want to have children and I really do hope her and baby are doing well, why would you risk your life and child’s life if you are that sick? That is something I don’t understand. and she got pregnant like 5 times!
