There’s a new “mum” joining the ever-expanding Teen Mom franchise!
MTV UK announced earlier this week that its hit show Teen Mom UK will return next month for its fourth season. The next season will feature a new cast member– 19-year-old Shannon, who is mom to one-year-old Theodore. While Shannon will be part of the Season 4 cast, two of the show’s original cast members will not.
Mia Boardman and Megan Salmon-Ferrari— who have starred on the show since it premiered in 2016–will not be part of Season 4, according to MTV UK. Amber Butler and Chloe Patton will be on the new season, as will Sassi Simmonds, who joined the cast in 2017.
For Season 4, “the mums tease everything from growing families to arguments to some exciting new starts,” according to MTV UK.

“The most dramatic moment what you can probably expect from the series with me is probably when me, [my baby daddy] Ste and his girlfriend [Kirsty], had a surprise meeting up.” Amber told MTV.
“[You’ll] see a lot of lows, a lot of highs, a new addition to the family and also, a special trip away,” Chloe said of her storylines for Season 4.
The two moms who are choosing not to do Season 4 also spoke to MTV UK about their decision.
“I decided to take some time out from the show just to focus on myself and some personal projects I have in the mix,” Megan said, later adding, “I don’t regret doing [the show]. It’s been a good thing in my life to do. It is hard to deal with sometimes, and it is a lot of work but I don’t regret any of it. I would do it all over again.
“Appearing on ‘Teen Mom UK’ has been really good, I’d have to say,” Megan added. “I feel like a lot of people can relate to my story and what’s happened throughout the series.”
On Twitter, Megan confirmed that her decision to not appear on Season 4 had “nothing to do with money.”
“Just remember me and my family are irreplaceable,” she tweeted.
Mia also explained the reasons she chose not to continue with the show (at least for now).
“I decided to take a break from ‘Teen Mom UK’ Series 4 to focus on my new relationship and [my daughter] Marliya,” Mia told MTV UK. “I’d love to come back for another series, and I don’t think you’ve seen the last of me yet…I hope [fans] will enjoy the next series, watching the girls grow, and hopefully I’ll be back soon.”
