EXCLUSIVE! Lindsie Chrisley Reacts to News Her Estranged Father Todd Chrisley Was Hospitalized with C0VID-19; Says She Also Had Virus Symptoms

“Get well soon, Pops!”

The global C0VID-19 pandemic has struck reality star Todd Chrisley, and now his estranged daughter Lindsie is speaking out about the news.

In an exclusive interview with The Ashley, Lindsie said first heard that her father— whom she has not been in contact with for awhile now— was hospitalized with the virus when her sister Savannah posted about it on Instagram on Wednesday night.

“I found out that he was diagnosed with C0VID-19 when my direct messages started blowing up on Instagram and I was sent Savannah’s post,” Lindsie told The Ashley. “It made me really sad to see he had been hospitalized.”

Lindsie said that, due to their long-standing feud, she has not talked to her dad or other members of her family about Todd’s diagnosis.

“We have no contact whatsoever and I have not reached out,” she said.

Lindsie told The Ashley that, ironically, at around the same time Todd was fighting the virus, she was also fighting what she feels was C0VID-19.

“I believe that [my dad and I] were probably sick at the same time,” she said. “I was quarantined from [my son] Jackson and [my husband] Will for seven days and at that time, Georgia was still waiting on testing kits so I was unable to be tested. I had a really high fever for five days and the dry cough.”

In her Instagram post, Savannah detailed how Todd discovered he was positive for C0VID-19 and how the virus affected him.

“C0VID-19: Dad was diagnosed with the C0ronavirus about 2.5 weeks ago..and I have never been so scared in my life,” she wrote, later adding that it began when Todd started feeling sick.

COVID-19: Dad was diagnosed with the coronavirus about 2.5 weeks ago..and I have never been so scared in my life. When everything started with COVID-19 I was like a lot of u…my mindset was “Wash your hands, don’t touch people, and you’ll be ok…” BUT BOY HAS THAT IRRESPONSIBLE MINDSET CHANGED! When dad started getting sick I immediately started worrying…he and I are the worriers of the bunch. After a couple days mom and I talked him into going to urgent care…he went in and he was showing all symptoms of COVID-19 so they tested him. Here in TN Vanderbilt was extremely prepared for testing and has testing at 15 or so of their walk in clinics. So before people say…”OH HE ONLY GOT TESTED BECAUSE HES A CELEBRITY…” u are WRONG! He went into an urgent care just like the rest of u would. After getting tested he went back home and stayed quarantined in his bedroom for 7 days and then his test came back..POSITIVE..when mom and I read that our hearts dropped. Dads symptoms were worsening as days went on..finally at 3am on a Sunday he woke mom up saying he has to go to the ER..he couldn’t fight it any longer. When she got there they made her drop him off and leave because of all the strict guidelines. He stayed at Vanderbilt for 3 days and those were the hardest 3 days I think I’ve ever endured. I talk to my daddy 10x a day! He’s my bestfriend…I also never go to bed a single night without a “Goodnight and I love you” text..and now my dad was sitting in a hospital room by himself and I had no idea how he was. At one point I fell on my hands and knees and begged God to not take him..to not take my bestfriend..I would give everything I had if it meant keeping my daddy. I was so desperate that I dropped photos of our family off at the hospital and said “If he sees these I know he’ll keep fighting!” So I guess the point of me telling u all this is so that u take it seriously…STAY HOME! SOCIAL DISTANCE! And most importantly..LOVE HARDER THAN EVER! Life is so short. I also owe a HUGE THANK U to my friends @charlesgalanismd @drjacobunger for walking me through all the steps we needed to follow and continuously checking in on us. As well as the drs and nurses @ Vandy❤

Savannah stated that Todd began to get sicker and was eventually hospitalized.

“Dad’s symptoms were worsening as days went on..finally at 3am on a Sunday he woke mom up saying he has to go to the ER..he couldn’t fight it any longer,” she wrote. “When she got there they made her drop him off and leave because of all the strict guidelines. She updated her post to let Todd’s fans know that he has improved greatly since then.

“Also…HE IS ON THE MEND!! Today he said he feels 75% better GOD IS GOOD!,” Savannah wrote.

Todd and his wife Julie also talked about his diagnosis and battle with C0VID-19 on Wednesday’s episode of their Chrisley Confessions podcast.

“Can we talk about this bitch called C0rona?” Todd said. “I have been battling C0rona for 3 weeks. I was in the hospital for 4 and a half days, fever between 100- 103 [degrees] and it has been the sickest I have ever been on this earth… Hopefully, I will get better every day, but as of right now, folks, I still am not clicking on all cylinders. I am probably about 70 to 75 percent of what I normally I am, but that last 25 percent is kicking my ass.”

In her interview with The Ashley, Lindsie gave her thoughts on the country’s efforts to battle C0VID-19.

“This is very serious,” she said. “People should be taking social distancing seriously so we can flatten the curve!”

  1. I don’t wish the virus on anyone and I truly hope he gets well soon. But I do have a question, does this bro even like girls?

I thought Ashley was divorced and her and her husband were not getting along. And she is such a spoiled and jealous brat how could she treat her Dad like this? And than just to get more attention claim she might have it at the same time he does!! Maybe she does but she did not have to bring it up right now while talking about her Dad she could have said it in a separate comment.

    1. Other question: how could her family treat her like this? Not even a short message to her? She had to find out on social media?

    2. If her dad really did try to blackmail her with a sex tape because she wouldn’t lie for him, then he’s a piece of shit. She doesn’t owe him anything.

  3. CALL YOUR DAD GO TALK TO HIM DON’T LET ANYTHING KEEP YOU APART YOU ONLY GET ONE WHATEVER HAPPENED LEAVE IT IN THE PASS LOVE YOU GUYS GOD BLESS YOU ALL
