‘Catfish’ Host Nev Schulman & Carole Baskin of ‘Tiger King’ Among ‘Dancing with the Stars Season 29 Cast: Check Out the Full Lineup!

Team Catfish vs. Team Big Cat…

Dancing With the Stars will two-step into Season 29 on September 14 with a fresh cast of celebrities hoping to dance their way to mirrorball trophy victory.

Joining Nev Schulman, host of MTV’s Catfish, and Carole Baskin of Netflix’s Tiger King docuseries, will be Kaitlyn Bristowe, who was the Season 11 Bachelorette. Fellow reality TV star Chrishell Stause of the Netflix series Selling Sunset will also hit the ballroom this season.

Monica Aldama of Netflix’s Cheer docuseries will take a break from coaching her Navarro College co-ed cheerleading team in order to pick up some dance moves of her own and TV host Jeannie Mai will also take on the role of competitor.

Representing for the athletes this season will be former NBA star Charles Oakley, as well as two-time Olympic figure skater Johnny Weir and former NFL star Vernon Davis

Actor Jesse Metcalfe and actresses Skai Jackson, Justina Machado and Anne Heche have also been announced as part of the show’s Season 29 cast.

Rapper Nelly and AJ McLean of Backstreet Boys round out the lineup.

Also making their ballroom debut this season will be new host Tyra Banks, who will also serve as an executive producer.

As The Ashley told you in July, Tyra will replace longtime show host Tom Bergeron and co-host Erin Andrews – both of whom were seemingly blindsided by their firings from the competition show.

In fact, Erin revealed to Extra this week that she actually received the bad news over the phone.

“It was a surprise,” she said. “I got a phone call. I answered the phone. I was like, ’This isn’t good.’”

As for Tyra being tapped to take over as host, Erin believes her replacement will do just fine.

“She can nail the smizing and the walking in gowns and heels, so good for her,” she said.

“Umm… thanks?”

  1. Jesse Metcalfe, a blast from the past, I remember having a crush on him on Desperate Housewives. I only know Anne and AJ from the others. Heard of Kaitlyn but that’s about it. (I’m from Europe for anybody asking)

    1. A REAL blast from the past! I remember Jesse Metcalfe from the soap Passions that used to be on at 3 right as I was getting home from high school. This is 1998-99 I’m talking about LOL
