‘The Hills: New Beginnings’ Set to Resume Filming in Two to Four Weeks; Brody Jenner Reportedly Vetoes Filming Outside of Los Angeles

“Sorry to burst your quarantine bubble, MTV.”

The Hills: New Beginnings is set to resume filming soon; however, the cast will not be shacking up under one roof as previously discussed, reportedly due to Brody Jenner’s objections.

According to TMZ, other cast members were willing to leave L.A. to film in a house (or complex) large enough to accommodate the entire group, but Brody told MTV he wouldn’t film the show unless production remained in Los Angeles.

Translation: “Please don’t make me and my ex-wife live together again.”

As The Ashley previously told you, the show was three episodes into production on Season 2 when filming was halted in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In June, it was announced that filming would resume at the end of July or early August; however, in mid-July MTV reportedly put an indefinite hold on production, despite producers taking extreme safety precautions and adhering to county and network guidelines.

While filming didn’t happen in August, conversations between Brody’s team and the network reportedly did, as Brody insisted that production remain in Los Angeles. The reason, he explained, was the show’s focus being on the cast and their lives in L.A., not a random location.

Too bad they can’t film the show on whatever planet Justin Bobby resides…

Brody also allegedly told MTV he was willing to wait and resume filming for Season 2 once a C0VID-19 vaccine was available.

While MTV continued trying to get Brody on board with the idea to leave L.A., the network ultimately caved and Season 2 of ‘The Hills: New Beginnings’ is set to resume within the next 2 to 4 weeks.

“Don’t worry buddy, I’m not going anywhere!”

Despite MTV seemingly catering to his demands, Brody had yet to sign on as of Monday afternoon, according to TMZ, though he is expected to resume filming. 1. I was hoping they would go ahead and cancel this “reboot”…Hopefully this will be its last season, because that 1st season was dumb…recycled story lines from over a decade ago.

  2. This remake was SO BORING. Why are they even bothering with a second one? And Brody, get over yourself you diva. You’re no one special.
