For the low price of $35, Christine Brown of Sister Wives will film a personalized video… and spill some tea about her recent split from husband Kody Brown.
In recent videos recorded for Cameo, Kody’s third wife personalizes messages to her recipients, while opening up about her split from Kody, which she and Kody both confirmed on social media last week.
In one video on the site, Christine even tells a fan “life is so great” now that she is divorced. (Though Christine refers to herself as “divorced,” she and Kody were never legally married.)
“ …Thank you for supporting me with leaving Kody, the decision was a long time coming and I feel like a much better person divorced than I ever did,” she said. “Life is so great. Like, I had no idea life could be simple. I had no idea it could be simple. … It’s a phenomenal world, it’s a whole new world.
“I hope that Kody and I can still remain friends during all of this, cause we’ve been still communicating with each other and stuff–- I mean, good and bad days, don’t get me wrong, it’s been ugh–- but we have a life still together after this because we have kids to raise and [our daughter] Truley’s 11, so we have to just be good, amiable, and things like that,” she continued. “I think it’s just important to remember that. …”
In another video, Christine assured the Cameo recipient that the next season of ‘Sister Wives’ is going to be “REALLY good” – an interesting take, considering Christine has confirmed her split from Kody will be documented on the new season.
Fans of ‘Sister Wives’ are probably not very surprised to hear Christine speak so favorably about her life post-Kody, and even Christine’s aunt admitted the 49-year-old hadn’t seemed happy in her marriage to Kody in a long time– if ever.
“I could see it coming,” Christine’s aunt Kristyn Decker said last week on an episode of the Reality Life with Kate Casey podcast. “I don’t think Christine’s been genuinely– what I call genuinely happy– for forever, since day one.”
While Christine’s aunt admits that she isn’t currently in contact with Christine, she noted the difficulties of plural marriage, having been in one herself.
“It’s kind of impossible to have a marriage when you’ve got a division like that [with] four women– five, whatever it’s going to be, and a lot of children,” she said. “That’s not a partnership. It’s not a real marriage. And so I’ve just felt bad for her and others from Day One. As well, I was in [a plural marriage]. So I had to support that way back when, but it still breaks my heart. I don’t think any women are genuinely happy in that.”
Kristyn also accused the Browns of “glamorizing” polygamy for the “longest time.”
The new season of ’Sister Wives’ premieres November 21 on TLC.

Good for her! I would have left after Meri’s “Mer BnB” and “Catfishgate” took over. They pretty much jumped the shark jumping another shark during that period. Hope Christine keeps finding happiness and freedom.
I’m glad someone finally left, although I’m surprised it was Christine. She always seemed so submissive (and REALLY stupid)!!!
I think we are going to see Meris announcement leaving the “marriage” within the next year. I think the only reason she has stuck around is the sister wives money. If that show ends, shes out. I bet shes in very close contact with Christine and will watch how Christine sorts the new life out. Meri is next…I don’t think the other two wives will go anywhere.
Truely and Solomon are two of my favorites on this show. It’s sad that they’re unable to hang out together since they were such good buddies, but I’m happy for Christine. I hope she never looks back!
I wonder what will happen to Coyote Pass? Do you think Christine will sue for her portion of it? I sure hope so!! She contributed to that land as much as any other wife, and is entitled to at least a quarter of it. The rest of the Browns should buy her out.
Also, great point made about her already living as a single mother, as she basically has her whole married life. Thankfully for her and Truely, hardly anything will change on that front. Truely will probably see Kody the same amount as she did when they lived in Flagstaff. Which, IMO, was the total down fall of that family. They never should have moved there in the first place, especially when every wife was completely spread out from one another. What kind of polygamists live like that?
This exactly. One of the reasons Meri has never left – she’d have to completely support herself. I think Christine and Janelle just got used to being the breadwinner and childcare for most of the whole family. I sincerely wish Christine and Co peace with their decision and hopeful new beginnings.
And may the other “spiritual wives” follow her lead. Kody is literally nothing without you ladies and he needs to be reminded.

I’ve passed through the poly-fundie parts of Southern Utah several times. Every time I see the women in the prairie dresses in clusters with gaggles of children I remind myself how lucky I am to be a woman with freedom. My heart breaks for the women – many are probably fine with the lifestyle since it is all they know.
I have never watched the show and don’t know much about the characters involved (aside from knowing Kody is GROSS), but good for Christine! Hopefully Meri will follow her.
Why did leave Vegas before selling their homes? What was the rush? Carrying 8 homes simultaneously and purchasing land to start building seemed so reckless, regardless of how much money you have
There’s a very simple answer to that. Because Kody wanted to. And the wives just stupidly went along with it. Under no circumstance does this make any sense.

I love that she got out of that polygamy nightmare, I always thought her mother’s own story was very interesting and inspirational. Hopefully the other ladies do the same – except of course for his favourite, Robyn.

I mean she was a single mom before she “divorced”, and I don’t think he was really supporting the family before financially, before the show, I think all the wives had to find jobs to support their own families.
So I guess all this means is she’s done having s3x with him. But that would be enough to celebrate in the streets.
