‘Sister Wives’ Star Kody Brown Reveals in Season 16 Premiere That He Wants His Own Home on Family’s Property; Christine Confirms Her Split From Kody Will Be On Show

“All I want is a handful of wives who worship the ground I walk on, my own home, and a lifetime supply of hair mousse…. is that too much to ask for?!”

Things in the land of Sister Wives are a bigger mess at the moment than Kody Brown’s hair…and that is really saying something.

Season 16 of the long-running TLC show premieres later this month and, according to Starcasm, the season’s first episode will focus on Kody’s latest request to have his own parcel of land on the family’s Coyote Pass property! As viewers know, the property was originally proposed to be split among the four sister wives, with each wife having their respective house on the Flagstaff, Arizona, property.

This news comes the same week that Kody and his third wife, Christine, announced on social media that they have split after 25 years of (spiritual) marriage. After the big news went public, Christine discussed the split a bit on her LuLaRoe business Facebook page, confirming that her and Kody’s breakup was documented for ‘Sister Wives.’

Kody’s other three wives, RobynJanelle and Meri remain with Kody, although Robyn is the only one who is legally married to the frizzy haired patriarch.

“I call dibs on the Coyote Pass parcel furthest away from Kody’s!”

Anyway, Kody’s grand idea of getting his own house on Coyote Pass comes after the family rejected Christine’s proposal to relocate the family back to Utah– a conversation that began back in Season 15. It also comes after Kody’s wives rejected his idea that they all move into one giant family home on the property.

(Christine went on to sell her Arizona home and move to a duplex in Utah with her youngest daughter prior to confirming her split from Kody.)

“Please take me with you!”

“After rejecting Christine’s idea of moving back to Utah, Kody checks in with Janelle and Robyn,” the Season 16 Episode 1 synopsis reads, according to Starcasm. “Then, Kody says he now wants his own lot on the property, and the family discusses the possibility of spending the holidays apart.”

With Kody now wanting his own parcel of land and presumably his own house as well, it’s back to the drawing board for the Browns, as Meri reveals in the trailer that the family is getting together to discuss the lots on Coyote Pass.

Please tell us Kody doesn’t have any poster board presentations planned this season.

…and we all remember how well that conversation went last time.

One big happy, functional, loving family.

The Coyote Pass conversation will reportedly continue in Episode 3 of the new season, as “the wives make an important decision about plots.”

In addition to the plot storyline, it’s been confirmed that the demise of Kody and Christine’s relationship will also be covered on this season of ‘Sister Wives.’

As stated above, Christine informed her LuLaRoe Facebook group Wednesday that her decision to leave Kody was filmed for the TLC show. However, she said she was unable to discuss the split, presumably due to her contract for the show.

“First off, I want to thank you for your ongoing support,” she wrote. “I know you probably have many questions for me, but because my leaving has been documented as part of our family’s show, most of your questions will be answered on our episodes. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.”

On Thursday, she posted a selfie to Instagram and in the caption wrote about all the positive changes she’s made this year, including gaining mental clarity and losing weight.

“For starters, I just unloaded about 180 lbs. of dead weight when I left Kody!”

“So many of us have a tendency to fear, change,” Christine posted. “However, I have chosen to embrace positive changes this year. Change can lead to beautiful things, views, and outcomes. I made this change in my health and doing so I gained so much more energy, mental clarity and weight loss. Watching & waiting doesn’t move anyone forward but rather creates a delay in results. If I can offer you a piece of wisdom it would be – be open to the thought of change – you never know what you’re missing.”

As The Ashley previously reported, Christine blamed the split on growing apart from Kody when she announced it earlier this week.

“After more than 25 years together, Kody and I have grown apart and I have made the difficult decision to leave,” she wrote on Instagram. “We will continue to be a strong presence in each other’s lives as we parent our beautiful children and support our wonderful family. At this time, we ask for your grace and kindness as we navigate through this stage within our family.”

Soon after, Kody posted his own statement to Instagram.

“Christine’s decision to leave comes with a great deal of sadness,” Kody wrote. “We enjoyed many years together and I have a large amount of respect and admiration for her. Although we are moving forward on different paths, we will always remain committed parents.”

  1. Go Christine go! Fly and blossom and go find your happiness and joy. I am so proud to see that you realized you needed more. Already you can see the years and wait of the world flying from you. This new best happiness will be such a gift to your daughter Truly!

  2. Robin: 4
    Robin: 3
    Robin: 2
    Robin: 1

I win!! I get the best house & real marriage!!

Robin: I had nothing to do with this…..

  3. It’s about time, now if Meri would do the same thing instead of letting this man ruin her life further. Let him and whinny Robyn live in her mansion that she needed so badly, it’s because of her that all this is happening, she wormed to way into their lives, got Kody to merry her, with todays laws I really don’t think he had to marry her to get custody of her kids, for instance look at Brad Pitt, how did he adopt without marriage, she just wanted that ring on her finger, that was the downfall of that family. With loosing Christine’s income and if Meri would leave with her income, and I’m sure the show will fall apart now where will Cody and Robyn be left, on the curb I hope, where they belong. Way to go Christian there is a better live waiting for you, and Meri please do the right thing and stop letting that so called man use you as a door mat.

    1. I believe the reason Kody legally married Robyn to adopt the kids when they had to have permission from there bio dad but in Brad Pitts story those kids only had Angelina Jolie no father involved that’s why they didn’t have to be married that’s what I think anyway but with Robyn’s kids already had a dad is the difference

  4. Kody wants his OWN home on Coyote Pass. HAHAHA, this egomaniac is the biggest baby there is. He is so selfish, and delusional, and that is why they are still just STANDING on the land they bought YEARS ago.

Good for Christine for leaving, she is young enough to find a relationship that can be about HER, and someone who can put her first.

If the other ones don’t want that, they can just enjoy their leggings and helping Kody scrunch his hair every morning, before they go argue on the land where Kody will have the first house that gets built, because he is the King and they obviously enjoy being doormats.

  5. I also hope Meri and Janelle follow Christine’s lead. Life is short, ladies, and Kody has clearly made his choice. Give yourselves the opportunity to find a true partner— someone who makes you happy! Everyone deserves peace and happiness. You have wasted enough time with Kody!!

  6. I’m honestly shocked one finally left… and it’s Christine.

Over the years Christine and Janelle became my favorites, I pitied Meri, and I never felt any one way about Robyn besides annoyance. At this point I hope all the “spiritual wives” leave Kody and Robyn, because that’s what they want anyway.
