Vanderpump Rules stars James Kennedy and Raquel Leviss claimed to have been on good terms when they called off their engagement in December; however, James has since begun sharing how he really feels about his ex-fiancé.
As The Ashley previously told you, Raquel and James split during the ‘VPR’ Season 9 reunion after viewers watched James pop the question at the beginning of the season.

At the time, the two posted matching announcements on Instagram, claiming that after five “wonderful” years together, they decided they had “two different goals and made the decision to call off the engagement.”

“We love each other very much, but we aren’t in love anymore,” the identical statements continued. “We want nothing but the best for each other so please keep any thoughts positive. Sending love.”
Weeks after their amicable breakup posts, however, James took a dig at his ex-fiancé when a ‘VPR’ fan page on Instagram reposted a photo of Raquel out on the town and rocking a novelty straw to celebrate her “unengagement party.” In response to the photo, James left a comment (which he later deleted) letting fans know how he really feels about his ex and her recent behavior.
“Drinking every night and sucking on penis straws….. looks like I’m the one that truly ‘dodged the bullet’ ….. And let’s not get it twisted it’s always MY year.”
The rude remark from James didn’t seem to get Raquel down, though. She later defended her decision to “celebrate” her newly-single status with friends and co-stars Ariana Madix and Scheana Shay while watching the emotional Season 9 reunion air.
“… there’s no way in hell I’m going to watch this emotional reunion without my closest friends,” she clapped back at one comment, before going on to make some accusations about James as well. “And after seeing how quickly James has moved on, I think I’m allowed the freedom to act on whatever my heart desires.
“I’m no longer taking into account other peoples concerns before my own,” she continued. “Those days are dead and gone. Hello 2022.”

Lollllll. A stunning, well-spoken, compassionate, way-too-good-for-you, put-up-with-you-for-way-too-long bullet. Thank goodness you dodged that, James.
I hope she really does move on and pursue her graduate degree. James isn’t leaving the show and she doesn’t need to be around his toxicity anymore.
James should feel lucky that a beautiful and kind woman such as Raquel gave him a chance. He’s a repulsive person on the inside. She’s the one who dodged a bullet.
$10 says he blubbered like an idiot the entire time they were talking the breakup over, while she packed, before the reunion etc. James is the kinda guy who calls a woman an ugly slut after she rejects him.
Cannot wait for his rock bottom.
James has always been emotionally abusive, it isn’t a shock that he resorts to below the belt comments designed to hurt. Raquel dodged the bullet here and deep down he knows that. I wish her nothing but happiness and hope that she finds someone as sweet as she is that she can grow with.
