Another Vanderpump Rules baby is on the way!
Lala Kent announced she is currently pregnant with Baby No. 2 by posting a photo on Sunday to Instagram, showing her daughter, Ocean, excitedly hugging Lala’s baby bump.
“I’m expanding my pod,” Lala captioned the photo (before including a plug for a company she’s in partnership with). “A @MaryRuthOrganics cheers to a new addition to my little family.”
Lala— who is fighting a nasty custody battle with her baby daddy/ex Randall Emmett over Ocean— has been open about wanting to have another child but not wanting a man involved this time around.
Earlier this year, Lala confirmed to Cosmopolitan magazine that she was in the process of undergoing intrauterine insemination (IUI), a fertility treatment that entails having prepped sperm surgically placed into a woman’s uterus to fertilize her egg.

“It’s a road that I never thought I would be going down,” she told the magazine in January. “I really saw myself in the cookie-cutter relationship and creating a family, but now that the universe has other plans for me, I’m so grateful [IUI] was an option.
“I will not gamble on me having my child,” she added. “And I just don’t think that finding a partner and falling in love with someone has anything to do with bringing a child into the world. You don’t need a man to do it.”
Lala stated in January that she felt a connection to a certain sperm donor she came across.
“The moment I found this donor, it just spoke to me,” she said. “He felt like my baby daddy.”
On Monday’s episode of her Give Them Lala podcast, Lala gave more details about what she was looking for in a sperm donor.
“I don’t care about looks. And you know, genetics are fickle. You could have two people from the same mom and dad and they look nothing alike. I get that,” Lala said, adding that she did ask what the donor looked like physically.
“I was like, ‘I would prefer that this baby kind of have the same aesthetic look as me, my mom [and] Ocean.’ So when they come into this world, it’s not only like, ‘You don’t have a dad because I got you from a donor,'” she said.

She stated that she’s going to do everything she can to make sure Baby No. 2 doesn’t suffer hardships due to her choice to have the baby solo.
“I just want to eliminate any sort of toughness for them,” she said. “Because the world is already tough when you come from a totally normal family. I don’t want to make it any tougher for them.”
During an interview on Scheana Shay‘s Scheananigans podcast in November 2022, Lala made it clear that her plans were to go it alone for Baby No. 2.
“I will not even attempt to try and do it a different way. I don’t want another person involved,” she said. “There’s such a high chance of it not working out, especially where we live. I’m not taking the chance. Like, I am so scarred from all of this s**t that has happened in my life [with Randall].”
On Monday’s podcast episode, Lala shared how she told two-year-old Ocean that she was pregnant.

“I didn’t really tell her in some big way,” Lala said. “She wanted to sit on me or something and I said, ‘OK, we have to be really careful because, guess what? Mama has a baby in her belly.’ She goes, ‘Do you have a baby in your belly?’ I said, ‘Yeah.’ And she goes, ‘Well, let me see.’”
Lala’s current and former ‘Vanderpump Rules’ co-stars congratulated her in the comment section of her announcement post.

Lala also got a congratulatory message from the Randall’s ex-wife Ambyr Childers.
“Congratulations mama!” she wrote.

Lauren, you do need a man to have a baby 🤦♀️ science can’t create sperm itself.
First of all Lauren your second child will not have a resemblance to Ocean at all since she is the spitting image of “My Man” Randall….(good luck with that)….. but I do wish you a healthy pregnancy.
Well she certainly can do as she pleases but depriving a child from having a father because you can’t keep a man in your life is unfair to that child. And wanting that child to look like you and your kid so it’s less obvious that he/she doesn’t have a father because you made that choice it’s so superficial. Poor kids
