Jenelle Evans is ready to head to the villa.
In an interview with Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea, the former Teen Mom star revealed she was recently applied to be on the currently airing season of Love Island USA.
“I would [go on a dating show],” she said in the interview which posted this week. “I even applied for ‘Love Island’ for this season but I don’t know, I’m scared, I don’t even know if I would want to go on it, but I would like to do like a Bachelorette-type show.”
Since splitting from David Eason in March 2024, Jenelle has been tuning in to reality dating shows and getting ideas on what she does and doesn’t want from her next soulmate.
“I’ve been watching ‘Love Island’ and Love Is Blind so, like, I know exactly, like, what I want and what I don’t want from my next partner,” she said on Virtual Reali-Tea. “It’s easier for me to cut guys off, way easier.”
Though she has some reservations about going on ‘Love Island USA,’ Jenelle pictures herself as a bombshell on the show, a late addition to the cast that comes in to test the relationships of the current couples.
“I [applied] just like a week ago because, you know, as it’s airing, they’re at the villa,” she said. “They’re always looking for bombshells and girls to go in and, like, people get eliminated and switched out and stuff, so I thought I might as well.”
Anyone over the age of 18 can apply to appear on ‘Love Island USA’ via an extensive online form where islander hopefuls are asked about their past relationships, connections to celebrities, social media presence and more.

“I have a lot of fans reach out to me all the time and asking what was that step you took, and really I think it’s just up to you and you’ll know when the time is right [to leave your marriage]. But when the time is right, you should definitely celebrate because you’re moving into happiness and peace and less anxiety in your life and you can finally just be yourself without being judged,” she said.

Not even bothering with reading the article, just going to laugh at Jenelle referring to herself as a “bombshell” and thinking she’s some kind of good catch.

I have aunt like Janelle, 60 some years old and everyone is still waiting for her to get her 💩together. Doesn’t matter they don’t care what anyone thinks if there is a man who wants them and will believe they are “bombshell” material WAY PAST their prime. Spoiler her kids weren’t safe from her even as adults.
I didn’t know the show so I looked it up.. and yikes. Jenelle doe not look like the type of gal that would be cast on the show. Not trying to body shame at all, we’re all beautiful. But shows like this look for a certain type of female and Jenelle doesn’t fit the mold.

Unfortunately, I know some men and women that are very much like Janelle. What I’ve noticed is that anyone worth a damn isn’t going to stay around, but the people that are like her will feel comfortable being around her chaos because they bring their own.

Jenelle honey, you are barking up the wrong tree here. You have spent your whole life worried about men, look where it’s gotten you. Atleast now the awkward divorce party and all the pointless interviews finally makes sense. She’s trying to be “discovered” again. But I just don’t feel like that’s in the cards for her.
I wonder if she will understand she’s the problem?? More than likely not. Dating isn’t for her. She attracts the biggest losers around. She comes off as confident and all this bullshit. But it’s a facade. She hates herself and has no self esteem. I’m just going to be the devils advocate here. This isn’t all Jenelle’s fault. I do believe she did suffer some trauma. She comes off as BPD. I t takes one to know one and I’m one.
She’s just a damaged little girl, desperate for love and acceptance, in the body of a grown woman. I feel for her, I always have. But at this point in her life she is really creating her own chaos. She has a home and money to be secure, she has kids who love her unconditionally, if she would just see the things that matter most, and stop any and all of the BS, she could finally have true peace and healing.
I agree with you. Both her and Amber are unable to have self inflection. I mean, yeah. It is hard in the beginning because you don’t see anything wrong with you. But from experience with a therapist I started to understand that I’m mentally ill. Amber has been in therapy how long? Sees a child therapist. She has had more than enough time to get meds figured out and get better. Jenelle has no clue. Not one thought or care about what she’s doing to her kids. Which is insane. She literally watches herself on tv and she can see how bad she is.

if jenelle somehow found a way to get on a reality dating show it would go worse for her than jenn’s season of the bachelorette where her daddy issues and need for therapy was super clear with the men she was keeping 😩
