Amber Portwood took a break from feuding with her Teen Mom co-stars on TikTok Live over the weekend to announce that she has a new man in her life.
While chatting with her “fans” on the social media platform, the (former?) MTV star casually revealed that she’s been dating someone for more than a month now, calling the new relationship, “a good thing.”
“He’s had a job for twenty-something years– the same exact job,” Amber said of Gary 3.0 her unnamed boyfriend, before going on to tell viewers that the mystery man has a thick “mountain” accent “because he’s from North Carolina.”
“ … and he’s super sweet to me,” she added.
Coincidentally, the news of Amber’s updated relationship status comes just over a year after her former fiancé Gary Wayt– aka Gary 2.0– went “missing” after attending the wedding of Amber’s bother, Shawn Portwood, in North Carolina. Days after Gary 2.0’s disappearance, Amber tearfully begged fans for prayers for her missing fiancé, who had reportedly stormed out of the couple’s vacation rental home without his phone and without contacting Amber or his family.
The search for Gary 2.0 went on for several days, during which, Amber’s boo was listed as a missing person in North Carolina. Gary 2.0 was eventually spotted in Oklahoma and New Mexico and he later contacted police to let them know he was “missing” by choice and not in any danger.
Just days before Amber and Gary 2.0’s ill-fated trip to North Carolina, the pair announced their engagement. Shortly after Gary 2.0 was found resurfaced, he and Amber officially called it quits.
As fans of ‘Teen Mom’ may remember, Amber’s engagement to Gary 2.0 was the fourth time the self-proclaimed “damn good mom” had accepted a marriage proposal AND the fourth time the proposal never resulted in marriage. Prior to saying “yes” to Gary 2.0, Amber was engaged to her daughter Leah’s father, Gary Shirley, on two different occasions; she was also engaged (once) to ex Matt Baier.
Amber has yet to reveal if she and her “mountain” man have discussed the topic of marriage, nor has she confirmed whether or not she managed to snag yet another Gary.

Hope karma plays a role in this clowns future once again. He’s obviously got to be another weird, ugly as af, looser like her. She doesn’t stop with the stories, this thang needs money.
If she only put the same effort into Leah, the way she does with trying to find a man.
How many times have we heard her say this before?!?!?!? A lot in my opinion!!! She needs to work on herself first and foremost especially if she wants to see her kids again instead of looking for another man!!!! Her n the psychopath need to be remove from the show now!!! The psychopath is always starting physical fights with her past and present cast members and desperately finding a storyline and it’s getting tiresome while Amber doesn’t even legally have custody of her children to begin with!!!

To be fair, Gary’s the only stable guy we’ve ever seen her with. And he didn’t truly get stable until she went to gel.
Maybe no ambi will start trying to reconnect with leah, because the only time she ever spent any time with that poor girl was when she was in a relationship🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
But only to introduce her and spring, the wedding plans on her, just to try to make herself look good to the weirdo she gets involved with.

Amber doesn’t even have any of her kids so she doesn’t have to worry about parenting. Jenelle just leaves her kids with whoever because they aren’t going to stand in the way of her living her best life.

I’ve always maintained that Amber does not have the deep mental issues she claims she does. She’s plain and simple, a massive narcissist.

She’s been officially diagnosed as having Borderline Personality Disorder. This is in fact text book what it looks like to a tee. It does look very similar to Narcissistic Personality Disorder, but the primary drivers are different and you can tell in how volatile she is. Most of what you’re hearing in pop culture about NPD is from armchair psychologists…. like those “Crazy Karen” videos… are actually showing people with severe BPD. Significant emotional dysregulation. The term ‘Borderline’ was originally used because during emotional dysregulation they were thought to be on the “border” of a psychotic episode. In another reality.
In NPD, you’re going to see someone who’s more control and calculated with their manipulation (most of the time). Think, Megan Markle or Kody Brown.
In BPD, you’re going to see someone who is more reactionary and believes what they’re saying even if it’s ludicrous. Think, Ambie or Farrah.

Amber sees a child pyschologist though so I’m not going to believe everything that he diagnosed her with. Plus this is coming from Amber too who lies all the time.
I have BPD. There are different types of it. Mine is more internalized. I think everyone is looking at me, paranoia, self loathing. However, amber is mean and abusive as hell. She has had more than enough time to do DBT. Seeing a child psychiatrist just shows she doesn’t take it seriously. The guy probably plays into ambers victim mentality. BPD isn’t my fault, but getting help and taking it seriously is an absolute must.
YEs- Same here. My psych says I am “low on the spectrum of BPD”. Luckily, it’s nothing directed outward and mostly internal. I appreciate you speaking out for us because we get a bad rap! I have always had full custody of all three of my boys- my twin 12 year olds and my 6 year old. They are all happy and healthy kiddos. I’ve struggled with substance abuse issues but have been clean/sober now for over 4 years and have always been in therapy because I cannot stand the way I was seeing/internalizing. CBT and DBT was life changing and I also take Cymbalta, just to make sure I stay stable. I will say though, that since getting 100% sober, my mental health has never been better and I haven’t had an “episode” for about 9-10 years now 🙂 I also no longer date. After my youngest sons dad… and what I went through with him, I have had no desire (even though prior to him, but after my split with my ex husband, I was obsessed with finding someone and could not be alone). Honestly, life is easier this way and my kids deserve my attention and a happy/healthy mom who is not distracted. I cringe when I see what Amber is doing- especially to Leah. The fact that she is now in ANOTHER relationship instead of trying to become a productive member of society and focusing on repairing her relationship with her children, is abhorrent.
And here I am with a 10 year old and single for 10 years cause MY KID COMES FIRST. This broad could NEVER be a “damn good mom” she can’t even be a bad mom because she’s never been a mom in the first place.

Amber lives in her own little world that is not even remotely grounded or based on/in reality. She makes a LOT of shit up, not just flat out lies, but tells full stories. I used to think she believed she was telling the truth, even when she lied-a part of her various mental health issues. It’s clear now she knows she’s lying, just doesn’t care and seems to find it amusing to see how many lies she can tell in one video/interview/couch session.
Are we even sure this dude is real? I have serious doubts. If he is real, can someone check on him and make sure he’s safe, lol?

Typical Amber. Focusing on whatever man of the week she is abusing. How does she even meet anyone? Her ass is constantly parked squarely on the couch and she is on tik tok day and night.
If she focused on her children the way she focuses on men her kids might actually be in her life. How sad for her to care more about male validation than unconditional love from the bond you share with your children, the problem is all her bonds loop right back around to herself. If only she knew the love she keeps searching for coulda been there 10 fold had she actually cared for and loved her children.
No decent person would want anything to do with Amber, so I assume this guy is just like the rest. He has to have something deeply wrong with him to be with Amber.
I can’t stand that when people claim to know someone after 1 month. Not everyone turns out bad or untrustworthy. I’m just saying some times they do, but people can hide a lot of things the first few months. Anyone who dates her either has a lukewarm temp or is a glutton for punishment.
