Jenelle Evans Says Her Son Jace “Learned His Lesson” After She Sent Him to Live with His Dad Andrew Lewis in May: “It Was a Fiasco!”

“We all know you weren’t thrilled when your plan to pawn me off on Ol’ Andy failed, Ma!”

Jenelle Evans continues to defend her decision to send her teenage son Jace to Florida in May to live with his father, Andrew Lewis, despite the arrangement quickly going south and Jace ultimately returning to Las Vegas to live with Jenelle.

The Ashley broke the news in early June that 15-year-old Jace was no longer living with his dad in Florida, despite Jenelle claiming at the time that the father and son were doing great. As The Ashley told you, Jenelle sent Jace to Florida by himself and did not check out where her son would be living (or how he would be living) and instead believed Andrew and his family when they assured her that Andrew was sober and capable of taking care of Jace.

The fired Teen Mom star recently fired back at a comment on Facebook from someone criticizing her for sending her son across the country to live with his father, claiming that neither Jenelle nor Jace “know Andrew.” In response, Jenelle insisted that she actually knows Andrew very well and simply wanted Jace to see the type of person his father actually is.

“Gee thanks, mom…”

“ … I do know my ex, I know him very well and in fact, I wanted Jace to learn the type of person he was,” Jenelle claimed. “And Jace was very like, ‘Mom, can I please go live with my dad, let me go live with my dad,’ and I was like, ‘You don’t know the type of person he is,’ and [Jace] is like, ‘Just let me go find out myself.’

“ … so he went and guess what? He found out the type of person [Andrew] was,” she continued.

“Hey Jace, it could have been worse for you. At least your dad didn’t lock up his meat freezer when you got to his house!”

(The Ashley’s sources told a very different story regarding how Jace ended up with Andrew, though. One source told The Ashley in June that, “Jace didn’t choose to go live with Andrew. It was decided for him [by Jenelle].”)

Anyway, in her recent Facebook video post, Jenelle continued to insist that it was Jace who wanted to go live with his long-lost father, who was absent for most of Jace’s life. Although she admitted that she never went to Florida to check out the situation before sending her son there, she did claim that she “checked in” with Andrew’s family first, who told her Andrew was “doing great,” was no longer drinking alcohol and had a job and a fiancée.

“Well, once Jace got there, [he found out that Andrew’s] fiancée broke up with him and I don’t know what happened from there,” she said. “I mean, I just know from what Jace told me. I’m not gonna share too much, but it was a fiasco and Jace didn’t want to admit it to me but he finally did and he’s happier being at home. And he learned his lesson. That’s all I can say.”

“Chalk that up to another parenting win for me, dude!”

In an interview with Us Weekly last month, Jenelle made similar claims that Jace “really needed to see” what kind of person his father was, despite both she and her mom, Barbara Evans, allegedly warning him.

“I can tell ya this, kid: if he dated Juh-nelle, he’s a losa!”

“The time had to come where he met his dad and he did it, and he sees the true colors that I’ve been saying for years, but Jace didn’t want to believe me and my mom,” she said.

  1. When ppl/parents don’t understand paediatric mental health or neurodivergent behaviours they try anything to make their life easier…. He needs to be in therapy (so does she), he needs a psychiatrist evaluation & medication, most importantly he needs stability & strong boundaries!

  2. “Learned his lesson”?! WTH is wrong with Jenelle? Neither of Jace’s parents have ever been responsible, attentive parents to him. The kid has been failed so many times, thrown under the bus (gun incident, anyone?), and blamed for so much.

Imagine being sent to live with a father who has only spoken to you a couple times in your entire existence, as well as living with grandparents who have NEVER shown any interest in your upbringing or made an effort to make contact. At least Jace had the stability of Barbara, no matter how imperfect she is.

  3. I am not one to normally hate people. But God help me. I hate her ass so much! She is a horrible human being. Cringe. Every time I see her Punchable face. God help the children. Karma is right around the corner

    1. I know this is horrible to say, but I hope Jace punches her at some point 😂 Would be well-deserved.

  4. Imagine being so fucking smug that you will ship your child off to another person known to be an addict, SIGHT UNSEEN, and then self-righteously bragging about how it “taught him a lesson.”
    Revolting. Even for Jenelle.

    1. and doing so while she initially lied and said that they were having such a great time and fishing and sending her “pitchers” every day. If nothing else, Jenelle is an epic liar.

  5. Yeah, this story doesn’t make her look as great as she thinks it does. Sending a teenager with behavioral issues to live with someone who has substance issues in order to teach that teenager a lesson? What the actual f**k, Jenelle? Mother of the Year material. 🤦🏻‍♀️

  6. The time to make Andrew step up was when they were in the driveway and she made that excellent prediction about nothing else going wrong.
When he said McDonald’s wouldn’t hire him.
That was the time to tell him “well, try Burger King, then”. Hell, couldn’t Barb get him in at the Wooolmahhhht?
Before he got far off into drugs, before he became completely unemployable and ruined his adult life.
The adults at the time should have led that young man down a path of success.
And the cycle will repeat unless an adult truly steps in here.

    1. But if barb got him a job at Walmart, then how could Jenelle tell barb she’s so much better than her because barb only works at Walmart?

    2. Additionally, I understand what you’re saying, but Andrew wasn’t a child. Jenelle was. Andrew was grown and knocked up a child, so I think by then he was already down the wrong path

      1. Yes he was over 18. He also had his father in a couple scenes, assuming he was still under daddy’s roof, driving daddy’s car, insured by daddy.
Parent instilled no values in that male.
Yes, probably too late but better late than never.. and we’ve now reached never.

  7. Jihnelle, this is utter bullsh*t. No teen talks like that, you never said this flowery prose to Jace.

Save yer bs fairytales for yer POOODCAAAAST!

  8. Well Jenelle, when are you going to learn a lesson? You keep lying, neglecting your kids, feeling sorry for yourself, drinking and smoking, etc….your life is pathetic and you never change.

    1. I’m not trying to be dramatic here, but they obviously don’t know him. As stated. How did they know he’s not a person who would do something awful to him? Yes, I’m implying what you think. They don’t know. They put him in a seriously dangerous position with no second thought. I guess I’m not surprised though. Jenelle doesn’t give two fucks about those kids.

  9. Thats nice, Jenelle. But it baffles me you didn’t accompany Jace to see Andrew and check out the living situation. Jenelle has no maternal instincts whatsoever! It never ceases to amaze me.

  10. But Jenelle, you said that “they’ve actually been keeping in contact and visiting each other for the past two years”, so how come you don’t know if Andrew can take care of Jace? You also said that they were having a great time in Florida cos Jace “needed his dad”. YOU ARE SO FULL OF SH*T 😂

  11. It was a fiasco because Jace didn’t want to be there or go, at all. Andrew didn’t want him there either. It was 100% Jenelle’s idea, full stop.

He wasn’t even there a week before Andrew decided to take Jace to NC so he could spend time with his friends and real family (ie. Barb). Unfortunately he wanted to do this at the swamp home and it’s not currently livable, so he couldn’t. This is also where Barb’s speeding ticket comes into play, she was on her way to Jace and his friends at the swamp, because legally he isn’t allowed to stay there (no one is, again, it’s falling apart, sinking and not habitable in its current condition, particularly due to all the mold, but also, shitty workmanship). Jace told Jenelle he wanted to GO HOME and he didn’t mean NV, he meant NC with his actual friends and family. Not only did Jenelle send him to be with Andrew, she also made him come home from NC. He didn’t “learn his lesson”, he didn’t have a damn lesson to learn, other than Jenelle is a POS, as always.

This came out a while ago, lol, even the sun did a story about it (I think it was the sun, anyway, one of the other sites, lol).

  12. Girl, stop!!!! We all know you sent him to live with his dad because you pawn your kids off on whoever will take care of them so you dont have to… it’s almost like you forget we watched you sign over custody of one child to your mom on national tv

  13. Another dose of revisionist history from the clinically deluded. What next, Nugget died of old age? Her son choked himself? She didn’t pull a gun on another motorist? She needs to do herself a favor and hush up.

    1. She does realize that everything has been documented and shared online already so she can backtrack but that’s not the story she originally told. What else is new with her and her bag of lies?

  14. The women that called Jenelle a (LOSA) u don’t look so shit hot yourself If u don’t have anything nice to say maybe just SHUT UP 😂😂😂

  15. The only lesson Jace learned is that his sorry sack of shit mother would rather ship him off to a virtual stranger than be a parent. Jace has already learned that his mother repeatedly chooses men over him. Even if that man abuses and strangles him. Who does she think she is kidding with her delusional alternate reality?

    1. 1000% Jenelle also said that Andrew got his life together and he needed to help out. Without checking and going with her son to make sure that this was safe. Her and Amber are the worst mothers out there. Unfortunately That poor kid Jace will probably wind up in jail, just like the other kids will. Exactly like Jenelle.
